Michael Bay's "Transformers" was an amazing film. Amazing. A true live action recreation of what the original Generation One cartoon and comics were all about. I loved it.

Now, with a sequel confirmed, here are my hopes and wishes:

1) The Dinobots are introduced.
2) The Constructicons are introduced and Devastator appears during the climax...
3) Soundwave joins the cast of Decepticons and Wheeljack joins the cast of Autobots.
4) Shockwave becomes the main villain of Transformers 2.

Yes. I do not want to see Megatron return in the sequel (as himself, or Galvatron, save that for the third film). Allow Shockwave to take charge of things... Give us something new, something we haven't seen before.

I'm seen Megatron too much in the last while...

What? If im not mistaken, Shockwave is not a big bad monsterous villian as is Megatron... he would not be well suited as the main antagonist in my opinion.

You are mistaken. There is way more to the character than the cartoons.

Shockwave might be actually more evil and effective than Megs ever was. Still I like Megs a bit better. Shockwave is a bit to cold and calculating in his designs. Megs on the other hand is a bit more hot blooded and makes for a more interesting character.

To say "No Megs" is just broken my heart, he is one of my bad-ass robot man

But for the sequel, I agree that give some new cast up and made it more story in cybertron. Keep Megs returning later.

Even I hate Starscream with his small head design,but after I saw his motion in film, he is really cool but just get short screen time with Megs. Which I disappointed that the filmmaker just let those awesome scene short and like that gone with wind.

So I would say Starscream would take over and against with the other cons.

to me, if they DID 'find a way' to bring back megatron, it would be stupid... i mean c'mon. the allspark extinguished his spark, man. it's dead. too much power. the only real way they could bring him back from the dead is if they went into the whole Unicron/Galvatron thing. i think it would be believable for Unicron, in all his supreme evil, to bring a Transformer back from the dead. it would be rediculous to just say "oh, look, megs is back from the grave! thank the dead matrix!" besides, leadership of the Decepticons was always up in the air in the comics. i think they should translate that drama over to the big screen. i mean, the Cons were ALWAYS in civil war in the comics over who was gonna lead them because most of the higher up Cons think THEY are the superior leader (IE Shockwave)....

BUT, it's all just speculation now. i mean, the sequel like JUST got greenlit, so ya never know who could show up or what could happen. however, i'll close by saying that i'm up for just about anything they can throw our way in the sequel after how fantabulous this one was (I've already seen in 5 times and i'm probably not done yet).... just as long as blurr, wheelie, and those primus-forsaken quints stay outta the mix.

Megatron will be back. For sure.

Every great hero needs a great villain.

TF without Megs is like Starwars without Vader.

But I think he will look different, more G1 like as he will have taken an Earth Alt Form.

I agree with Wheeljack being introduced. I really want to see him, and he should really be the set up for the dinobots, he's the mad scientist inventor.

Shockwave... hmm I dunno. If they do him he's going to be just as weird as megatron was, no large ray gun. I think they should just make up someone new or go with galvatron being a new character and not a reformatted megatron. I don't want megatron either, it would make it fair game to bring back any dead bots and I don't want that.

Megatron was dead in the prequel. Consider to Decepticons, How many of them who want to take over Megs ,for sure that guy is Starscream and this is the good oppotunity for Starcream to get the chance to fill in while the other cons still have the loyalty to Megs and want to get him back.

Megs will come back not matter in which form or name. He should come to against and fight whoever betray or take his place as the ego of Megs , he just confidence himself like he think he is always topper on them.

He will be back. He will take an earth form. He will probable look a bit more as we are used to because of this. He already had a very similar head design not to mention color.
His death will be explained away somehow... they already started to lay the framework with the foreshadowing statment made by Ratchet in the movie; when Prime first brings up joining the cube with his spark.

It would be cool if Shockwave and Starscream would be vying for Decepticon leadership in the sequel. Starscream to lead the Decepticons altogether, but Shockwave leading the Decepticons while trying to find a way to revive Megatron. Then he succeeds in the third movie and Megatron returns as Galvatron.

This is a kind of thing I would see it happen in movie sequel.

As for the prequel, I loved to see it is ROBOTS MAN to MAN Battle which actually the film maker should portray more of the story (Autobots - Decepticons) in cybertron more than just let Prime refered by talking to Sam in the prequel.

Which that should provided more of background relationship of Prime to Megatron, Megatron to Starscream , Megatron to Bubblebee.. etc. But they just skip and made short, cut off the feeling.

I would like to see the decepticons stand behind Megs opposite to the autobots stand behind Prime ,then focus Meg face with Prime like in the poster given awesome lines before begin the battle which this was what I have imagine for the prequel movie

So for the sequel, I just hope they will handle it more right
story line that it should be ,especially of Autobots - Decepticons.

I'm not bothered, megatron or no megatron. It will still kickass.

But the final time...PLEASE! NO DINOBOTS!

My guess is if they put Soundwave in, & if they do him right & make him Megatron's loyal bodyguard-type bot....he'll find a way to revive Megatron.....with or without Starscream's approval, who I would assume would be claiming leadership after Megatron's "defeat".

Out of interest, if you're such a huge Decepticon fan, why did you think the Movie was a perfect representation of G1 Transformers? The Decepticons were barely characters in it. Maybe you enjoyed it, but if you're also a decepticon fan there's no way on earth it could be the perfect representation for you personally.

I don't quite understand what you're saying, but I know people have a tendancy to say "People can like or think what they like!" in response to any criticism, failing to realise people often don't think or like what they like, but what hype tells them to.

I pointed out a contradiction within his own tastes - he is a Decepticon fan, yet also thinks that the LAM is a perfect representation of Transformers G1, which it can't be, because it didn't give them very much characterisation at all, compared to the cartoon or comic which had them as the opposing faction, the other side of the story.

Personally I never had that much love for Shockwave and I cant see him being leader. I would want Megatron to some how come back online and take back leadership of the

As long as it come up with the right new cast in sequel,I like to see it and the return of Megs also would be my love and joy.
