At this point, that is still under discussion. For now, we stick with the normal 12, but that could change in the future, so stay tuned kids!

I would go with 18. That way we could have 3 groups of 6, so the number of active Transformers could stay the same.

I wouldn't mind 50, but 36 is alot better then 24. That would be 6 sets of 6, or 18 active bots at one time. Missions, areana, and the pits would be covered big time with 6 each.

Let's do this!

In order to keep the FAQ thread to strictly Q&A, i've split these posts for a new thread, as it seems everyone wants their say.
Personally I like the idea of winning exta char slots through holding certain territories on Cybertron or earning them as some of your existing mechs achieve certain xp milestones.
No matter what though I want to push for two waves, so every time we unlock a character slot (or two) we unlock one more active character slot as well.
I want to see 18/9 or 24/12. but that's just me

I prefer this idea myself. Three groups of 6 would slow the character's progress considerably, IMHO.

My preference is either 6 or 12 ,but I admit the 6 is for limiting the number of TFs fighting (even in the comics has there ever been thousands of TFs involved in the fighting?).
So 12 ,though the idea about makeing new slots a prize is cool too.

I realize that many have a "more is better" mentality, but I'm personally fine with 12. Adding more with no more active slots is definitely bad, as it would slow down advancement considerably, as T-scream pointed out.
More bots per player means more things in the database, which may cause problems, and more names taken, making character creation for noobs more frustrating as they attempt to find cool names for their mechs.
Mkall's idea of winning extra slots for XP milestones is interesting, however.

well having more TF slots would not mean you could have more active TFs,just more in reserve, and maybe if that medic idea goes threw they could even have one\few of them Repair the rest,or some other task yet to come.
and i think 15 would be the best,3 added to the 3x4 stack in the Registry, unless the Registry is getting a face lift, and then whatever amount it takes to even it out.
as for the XP unlocking them idea,i for one do not like it.
everyone should be on the same LVL when it comes to the amount of TFs you can have,or have active at one time.

How about extra character slots for non combat characters? It'd let those of us who just want the chance to have more characters to create them, and perhaps the idea of extra slots as a prize could be changed to letting your non combat characters fight, as a prize. Combine the idea of non-combat characters with the 'medic arena' being discussed in another thread, and you've got yourself an idea.

Well, the plus side is that the veteran players would continue to have a vested interest in the lower levels, and might therefore be more willing to aid/communicate with less experienced allies.

I think 12 characters is fine and has been working well for me. Even if the number of character slots is increased, we'll still end up with the same complaints; for instance, if the number increases to 18, we'll just have people starting threads asking when/if we can get 24 character slots.
I do like the idea of earning extra character slots, but I'd link it to a squad passing certain total team xp milestones.

We could tell them...
In another four years?
At that rate, by the time I'm 63 years old, we'd have 72 bots each!
MWAHAHA! Excellent! Something to make old age bearable!

By the time you're 63 years old you'll have trouble remembering half a dozen of your bots names let alone 72.
