odd ball/ugly TF you like

Postby microclone » Mon Aug 06, 2007 5:39 pm

are there any TF toys that you consider a bit odd or plain ugly but you still like. My ugly TF I really like is energon prowl, yes, energon prowl. A very odd loking thing but considering it has to accommodate FOUR modes, ie car, bot, and linked bot top half and linked bot bottom half a compromise had to be made somewhere. Great car mode. I do like the robo head, quite weird, rather like gen 1 blurr/kup style, also i like the chunky feet and big shoulder wheels. Oh and i also like gen 1 kup, when i first saw the reissue i thought 'is that a 'proper TF?' anyway that very odd bot and cybertronian car are very cool, i like the 1950's colour scheme, looks like an old teapot colour.

You aren't the only one Redimus, I love Backstop.

I also love Stalker, who has one of the oddest paint schemes ever used on a toy. I also quite like Movie Bonecrusher, who is one of the ugliest and disproportioned figures I have ever seen.

TM Tarantulas is no looker either, but I really like him too.

a few mentioned bonecrusher, im kinda tempted to get one of those, he reminds me of the 'wheelers' from the return to Oz. i guess its one of thsoe figures that is probably more fun than you expect, amazing that all those bits become a truck. Also as odd as it is, its got a reasonably balanced aesthetic unlike starscream or one of the new ones, is it payload with the chicken legs? maybe a new word for ugly cool TF is coogly. OK, im being silly but bonecrusher could be a coogly TF, i'll have to track one down.

Oh, and movie Bonecrusher and the movie FABs rule.

Same. I got him really cheeply, along with Jetstorm for less that I would have paid for one deluxe. He's really quite good.

I aslo like Bonecrusher, just because he looks great, but ugly, & also looks really fun to transform. Cant find him anywhere though.

Another that I reaaaally want is Armada Sideways. I agree that he's not the best looking transformer & his minicon heads are quite bulky but I really wanted him after seeing the cartoon. But I was watching repeats so I never could get him. XD

Injector from Beast Wars. He's a fish-bee, and he is bizarre. My girlfriend and I renamed him the Unpossibug. I keep him simply because he's so ugly he's adorable.

skyblast, when i first saw energon prowl I thought the proportions were a bit odd and ungainly, but once i got him I saw a very cool toy with a lot of gen 1 simplicity. I really like the look. I'm almost tempted to get a second to 'self' him in superlink mode. I feel the smaller link toys were the best of the energon line a lot of fun to mess around with. and yes, you are right hes very much a wheeljack, even he was a bit ungainly and apelike, very cool though, prowl in wheeljack colours would be SWEET!!

Well, I'm sure this is going to get me shot around here, but two of the oddest/ugliest Transformers I liked were Seaspray and...Wheelie! *runs away to hide*

Honestly, I don't know why, but I really loved those guys back when I had them. I wish I could get them again to be honest...

True, they were but ugly and couldn't do a damn thing except stand around, but I loved (and still love) them anyway.

A lotta people seem to dislike movie Starscream, but I love it. I display him with the missiles on the side clip on his arm; makes him look better IMO.

Dlx. BM Primal RAWKS!!! One of my favs from BM.

I never understood why so many disliked BM, though. Some size and color issues aside, I liked nearly the entire line.
