lucas maximus wrote:alright, i think i'm ready to cave....walmart just reduced the generations figures from six pegs to three. cut 'em right in half. now there's no room for new ones to come in due to a few in overstock from the peg reduction. i checked all over springfield and didn't find anything. in fact there wasn't even a spot for them at target i don't believe and meijer had like two pegs. didn't make it to dayton but that is a little bit of a trip and didn't have the time.
soooo, if anyone finds wheeljack, thundercracker, and warpath i'm interested in one of each and preferably all at once to save on shipping costs but in a worse case scenario i could buy one at a time.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

on an interesting note though, i e-mailed hasbro about the availability of grappel and windcharger and this is the response i got:
"Hi lucas,
Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. regarding the Transformers Voyager Class Solar Storm Grappel and Scout Class Windcharger. We appreciate your interest in our company and products!
Please be assured the Solar Storm Grappel and Windcharger are still in production and shipping to stores.
Although these products are not currently on http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com, we ask that you continue checking for availability. Regrettably, we cannot guarantee these items will be available but can tell you the website is updated frequently.
All current Hasbro products are also carried by Toys R Us (http://www.toysrus.com), Wal-Mart (http://www.wal-mart.com), Kmart (http://www.kmart.com), Target (http://www.target.com), as well as other toy and mass merchandise retailers.
Some of our products can also be found online at http://www.entertainmentearth.com (figures & collectibles).
Regrettably, we cannot guarantee product availability at any one store.
Again, thank you for your interest."
so does this support the repackaging for the dotm theory? let's hope so!

1. Wal*Mart on Navarre Ave: looks like they finally set Wave 1 this morning: pegs overflowing w/ deluxes, CV, HA, lots of voyagers, leaders
2. K-Mart on Navarre Ave: some Wave 1 deluxes with a couple of Wave 2 thrown in, CV, voyagers, HA, leaders, they also have the silver deluxe BB set with human and motorcycle (daredevil pack?)
Shockwave still non-existent in this area, I've been to 5 stores this week

I don't agree tht it means anything. I work in an office and HR and CS have plenty of preprinted forms in which they fill in product info, dates, names, etc. Windcharger and Grapple have been released in the global market as early as November of last year. This kind of selling tactics happen when you are a part of a global marketplace. It will not be the last time this happens. I got my Grappel off of a dude in Indiana for $27 and he had 16 in stock at the time. They are only scarce in the states. Everywhere else they are warming shelves. Get them while you still can modestly. They will be up 3x in price by this time next year. After everyone loses hope.
The only RTS Transformers that are being repackaged are Bumblebee, Optimus, Jazz, and Tracks. They probably selected those because they are either indirectly or directly associated with the movie characters. Bumblebee and Optimus are both main characters in the films, and Jazz was in the 1st one. Tracks was probably just a random choice. Plus his mold is still in heavy production because of Wheeljack's soon to be mass release.
If you are worried about the overstock I have a solution. Every time you go into the Walmart, destroy one or two of the packages to the point where they have to put them in the damage goods box. Soon enough they will have to order more. Oh yeah, do this to Thunderwing especially. What moron at Hasbro decided that he should be packed 300 to a case? They should be fired...........make them pay at $11 a pop........

I was really impressed with these guys, especially Sandstorm, he seems to be my favorite of these three andthey do kind of fit into the Gen/Classics/RTS aesthetic. I would say to take a chance on at least Sandstorm from that line. Backfire is a close second though. I also managed to pick up a Commander Powerglide, watch out fot the paint on the wings though. I am pretty much done w/ the DOTM line for now. There are no deluxes that impress me at the moment, maybe a Mirage figure will come out and look good.

Doctor Reggae wrote:Totally worth it, dude--you won't be disappointed. Good, complex transformation too--his alt mode is one of the best of the three movie lines so far.
As of right now, I've only gotten five from the DOTM line--Megs, Sentinel, Shockwave, Crankcase, and deluxe Bumblebee. Skyhammer's probably going to get picked up today--but after that, I'll wait for leader Ironhide, unless one of the new HA figs grabs my interest.

Man Shock, you've got more guts that i do buying those, so far i've caved on Crankcase, Voyager Megatron, Shockwave and Skyhammer! The only reason i got CC cause the clipping of the fingers and i got one thats not clipped, but im done with this line, other than maybe Sen Prime, but man he looks too much pink than red for me.

I am a sucker for Scout class figures for some reason. Really none of the deluxes have impressed me that much. I may get a Crankcase and Sen Prime but that would be it until HA Roadbuster comes out in our area. Focusing on finishing some G1 stuff right now.

Hey Shok, dont mean to rain on your parade, but i think FP kinda did a homage to some older micromaster bots, Warcry is suppose to represent Growl see here: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Growl and Flameblast is suppose to represent Fireshot see here: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Fireshot Both are Decepticons and both are part of micromaster combiner set with their military companions! If you like using Warcry for an Autobot thats cool, but the homage isnt there, but for me, which i have these two and love them both, they are independent Decepticon bounty hunter/scouts that work together to get their money and bounty...dead or alive.
