I was just thinking about how in the movie Prime tells Sam about how Megatron came to Earth thousands of years ago to get the AllSpark and use it to turn our technology into his army. But thousands of years ago, we didn't have technology. We had arrowheads and stonehammers. And those are some great TF names, they wouldn't actually make good Transformers.

So maybe Megatron was actually a nice guy. He crashed and was frozen for thousands of years only to have these little fleshlings dig him out and keep him in cryo-genic suspension just so they can have PDAs and cellphones and crap. Then he finally breaks free and goes after the AllSpark again. But this little punk plays keep away with him. He could of just stepped on him a number of times, but he didn't want to hurt him. And he gave him alot of chances to hand over the AllSpark. Even when Sam was on the ledge of the building. He could have hit him with his mace, but he just hit the statue instead. Then Prime gets in his way. And finally gets the AllSpark, right in the chest. Then he's dumped in deepest part of the ocean.

And on top of all that, Bay makes him looks like a pile of **** covered in metal toothpicks that turns into a sad looking space cruiser. He doesn't even get to keep his voice. And his toys are crap compared to any of his previous incarnations. He can't even keep his head covered in alt mode.

Megatron wasn't a bad guy. He just got screwed over royaly by the system.

um megatron killed people, lots of people. A minivan was in his way and he threw it out of his way.

He told prime humans don't deserve to live.

he wanted the allspark for ultimate power, so centuries later it just hapens to be a technological earth that he can conquer.

.... haha funny stuff. but you do have a point when you say megs came to earth to turn earths technology into an army when he did come here thousands of years ago where there was virtually no electrical technology around. heh.

When did he say this? Cause I remember Megatron coming to earth to get the allspark, but that was his only aim...
His plan to turn tech into an army was a secondary thought that occurred when he was unfrozen...

Maybe Megatron could not find an automobile, an APC, a tank, or even a jet aircraft to turn into Decepticons, but he could find vehicles made by the Atlantians and the Lemurians to make his own army of machines.

Megatron fell into a plothole and became frozen in sloppy writing for two hours. No wonder he's mad.

Later he said Megatron would use it to transform Earth's machines if he got ahold of the Allspark.

You're insunuating that Megatron knew Humans inhabited the planet when froze, which isn't plausable seeing as he fell pretty quickly, probabbly with no idea organics were there at all.

When he woke up, he was being held by humans. Humans have technology that can be transformed by the allspark; Get the allspark, transform the machines, sounds like a plan.

I think Optimus might have been predicting what Megatron would do if he got a hold of it rather then that was his original intensions.

that's how I took it, especially if you read "Ghosts of Yesterday" where the TF's have never heard of Earth.

heh, but still... when Optimus Prime is a truck, and Starscream's a jet fighter... suddenly Megatron returns in a T-rex mode, and the world will kill itself, because Beastformers sucks, and Beast Megatron and Optimus Prime (Trukk, not munky ^^) fighting eachother will result in Bay hating the Beast Megs, and get Optimus to totally bang Megatron up into pieces, and so on and so on... (messy scenes, with metal flying everywhere, forms in my mind)

I took it as Prime guessing what Megatron would do, based on his knowledge of his personality. Megatron originally wanted the allspark so that he could return to Cybertron and conquer it. with an army of psychotic Mobile Phones and Soft Drink Can dispensing machines, it would have been even easier...

Yeah, the whole "turning earth's technology into a new army" angle was kind of bogus, but the way I looked at it is that if Megs wakes up with the Allspark in the present day, that's what he'll do with it, and before, he just wanted it for power. But that's just me.

That's brilliant! Someone needs to engrave that on a plaque!

I would like a Megatron who isn't totally pure evil, it makes some sense to me because in this world all factions, even the ones we consider evil like terrorists, seem to be thinking that they fight for a greater good.

So that theory of Megatron being not so bad, but having watched the progress of civilization to discover we humans are worthless, makes some sense to me.

Since the allspark has the power to create worlds and fill them, Megatron just wants it to control the universe. At first, he thought earth was just another planet, but when he woke up he realized he could just use what's already here. Maybe our machines are more powerful than what the allspark creates.
