Knowing Micheal Bay, the trailer will probably be in the movie for about 2 minutes. Then it's gonna blow up real good.

You are a perfect example of what I was talking about earlier. We were given what we requested and it's still not enough for you. What the hell do you want? I mean seriously, what do you want?

Nothing is ever good enough for you and people like you, and it's ridiculous. Yes, Bay handles the explosions, but the writing is handled by different people, not the director. You must blame them for the weaknesses and praise them for the strengths. He is merely taking his eye and his camera and bringing it to life.

He can only work with what they give him. And it's apparent that he's been given some crap in the past. He took a kid's cartoon and made it into a phenomenal box office winner. TWICE. And if anyone could pull it off a 3rd time, it's Bay.

Get angry with the writers, get angry with some of the designs, but do it for the right reasons, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, and be a better fan. You sound completely ungrateful, and it makes us all look bad.

People asked for more robot screen time, we were given it.
People asked for less twins, we're being given it.
People asked for Prime to have his trailer, we're being given it.
People asked for less human story, we were given it, or at least an equal dose of robot story to counter it.

Everything we asked for, we received, what more do you people want?!

And don't tell me G1, because this isn't G1. This is a REBOOT. G1 is not what you think it is. It was loud, colorful, offensive to the senses and sensibility, it was a sales vehicle, nothing more. Well, the movies are the same but the difference is that they're entertaining. And that's why they make money.

TransFormers: The Movie? A critical and financial flop. A huge flop. It didn't do well in any capacity.

TransFormers: The Bayverse movies? The first one was a critical and financial success. The second one didn't fare well with critics, but it was a huge financial success and surpassed the first one. And now, 3 seems poised to beat them both, and people are complaining.

Im sick of this crap, it would be a good day in shitland when people would either be happy with what they have or just leave it alone and stay away from it. I hate when people hate on Bay for no reason, if I was him and I got this much hate from the people I try to please, someone would be dead. Im suprised Bay hasnt turned to a life of terrorism by now, or at least stop making movies. People have stolen from him, made death threats and everything. And I bet none of these people would say anything to him in person.

Anyone else notice the #48 car being am easter egg for '84 - as in 1984? Year the transformers originated?

Additionally, Chicago has the Field Museum - with it's main exhibit "Sue" a T-rex skeleton - possible Grimlock tie-in?

Just sayin. ;)

That's quite a stretch on the 48... I just think they took a couple of the most popular Sprint cup cars and added them to the movie to give us something new and different... and if anything, are probably Decepticons!

But, the Museum is an idea I wish they would go with... not sure how many of you remember these images below, but I would accept Grimlock looking like this

For you to be less presumptuous apparently.
Did I specifically say anything was wrong with the trailer?

Clearly you haven't seen any of his other movies.

Though if you were a Micheal Bay fan prior Transformers movies then you are not even worth reasoning with.

Micheal Bay is responsible for a great deal of what happens in the films. Including the alteration of the script. He is also arrogant, and a chronic liar.

For instance, in the case of Arcee. He killed her off and turned her into three separate robots, simply because, "he didn't like her."

Also it was his decision to have the twins behave as they do in the movies.

Autobot032 wrote:People asked for more robot screen time, we were given it.

Ah yes, more constant, indecipherable bits of metal, smashing into each other with fire all over the place.
Autobot032 wrote:People asked for less twins, we're being given it.

He also said they were not going to be in this movie at all.
Autobot032 wrote:People asked for Prime to have his trailer, we're being given it.

"And then it was shrapnel." I never said I hated the trailer. Just that it wouldn't be around for very long...
Autobot032 wrote:People asked for less human story, we were given it, or at least an equal dose of robot story to counter it.

Actually we asked for the humans to be less annoying, disgusting, and retarded. And if what you said about writers having as much control as they do was true, then that would fall to Ehren Kruger. Who doesn't have a very good film repertoire as it is.

Autobot032 wrote:Everything we asked for, we received, what more do you people want?!

Oh, here we go. Another one who thinks G1 was the only other thing that exists huh.
It was the nineteen eighties. It was a show intended to do nothing but sell toys. Stop kicking a long dead animal!

The story has been rebooted before, both in the form of several television series and comic books. All of which, have told it better than the Micheal Bays films.

G1 is a stupid excuse.

Autobot032 wrote:TransFormers: The Movie? A critical and financial flop. A huge flop. It didn't do well in any capacity.

Due to all the circumstances, yes it flopped.
Circumstances being that back then it was more difficult to make/sell 30 different toys based on the same character or mold.

Autobot032 wrote:TransFormers: The Bayverse movies? The first one was a critical and financial success. The second one didn't fare well with critics, but it was a huge financial success and surpassed the first one. And now, 3 seems poised to beat them both, and people are complaining

So wait, am I expected to think a movie is good, just because it makes allot of money?
I don't want it to make more friggin money! I want it to die a hard death so that it wont affect future Transformers time lines.

Okay you've both had your say, and guess what, you're both right and you're both wrong.

Either respect each other's opinions, or get over it. There will be NO MORE bickering in this thread. Learn to accept that some people like Bay, some don't, some like the movies, some don't.

Anyone jumps in on that argument and there WILL be warnings.

Now keep it civil.

Either respect each other's opinions, or get over it. There will be NO MORE bickering in this thread. Learn to accept that some people like Bay, some don't, some like the movies, some don't.

Anyone jumps in on that argument and there WILL be warnings.

Now keep it civil.

This may make it worse or funny, but next thing you know, there's gonna be a civil war in this site... Most likely be happening in the Heavy Metal War game. Man, this will be one story that everyone here will be laughing over in the near future

Does any one of you who post these complaints about Michael Bay screwing up Transformers know anything about the legalities of film-making, or do you just complain because it's not what you would do or what you would want to see...

Now, if I'm mistaken, someone please feel free to correct me but... when you see that disclaimer that says something about Transformers, the name, the characters, and all the related material belonging to HASBRO, that means that HASBRO has the final say so.

And when we see the concept art, perfect example was Optimus' concept art for War of Cybertron, has a message stating, "Submit to HASBRO for approval," that means that HASBRO has the final say so.

Yes, Michael Bay can go in and change things up and add things and take them away, but in the end he still has to do what HASBRO says... he can either film it and it can be cut from the film entirely during the editing process... or he can film it and then have to go back and re-film it if they don't approve... if he films it and THEY like it, then he gets to keep it.

If HASBRO had said they want Arcee to have been a prominent character in the last film, then if Michael Bay not liking her wouldn't have made any difference... he would have had to make her a prominent part of the cast.

See, that's what copyright means... it means that you own that material and if someone wants to use it they have to get your permission first. Same with Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson had to convince the Tolkien estate to let him have the rights to make the LotR trilogy.

And that's all I really have to say because I know that this is going to be ignored for the "awesomeness of Optimus finally having a trailer," which honestly is cool... but it ain't all that big if a deal IMO...

I'm personally looking forward to the movie regardless... hell, I'd even enjoy it if they stole a page from the Futurama playbook and threw in a couple of Autobot/Decepticon robo-sexuals...

STOP THE COMPLAINING AND DO WHAT THE MOVIE IS MADE TO DO... ENTERTAIN!!!

That happened a few years ago. It wasn't pretty. So much so we try not to talk about it.

But hey, at least in HMW we can work off our aggressions! :P

Weapon: No Weapon
Honestly I'd rather not jump into this since it's a long lost cause, but I've got at least one or two things to say. First of all I'm no fan of the movie franchise for reasons that baffle me every day I think about it. Frankly I'm just against turning a long running franchise of animated features into life action, especially if it's anime. That said I have come to accept the movie series as it's own thing, but I don't embrace it. Anyway, I stopped watching movies years ago so...

Secondly... well having said what I just have I guess I have no say in this, but accepting something for what it's meant to do and what it actually does is... well, wrong. These movies are meant to entertain? Okay. Where's the entertainment?

Third, the vehicle in question could be any slaggin' character, seeing as how homages in the movies are practically moot. I mean, look at Sideswipe. Red lambo kid = silver corvette blader? If the movies can do that to da Swipe then who knows... maybe this is another obscure micromaster reference like Barricade.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

don't take that to mean I'm a killjoy just because I can be, though...

Those Nascar race cars are Hasbro's way of telling us that one of their future Transformer's toy line's which will be made into some sorta cartoon/comic. Will be called Transformers: Race Wars, with the plot revolving around Blur.. some other autobots with race car altmodes and the Stunticon's rekindling a grudge left over from the old cybertronian race days.

Primes trailer will pull a G1.. Disappear when Prime transforms into robot mode, never to be seen again. Then magically reappears when Prime transformers back into truck mode.

OP's trailer might be used for hauling the Jetfire armor around in just like the upcoming voyager "Unite for the Universe" combo
