Other Transformerish things

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

See me, I'm the opposite.

Happy endings are rare, pain and loss are the usual norm, and conflicts, even the friendly ones are all to common...

Maybe, like TekkaMan, thats why that series spoke to me while on the same note I can't stomach shows like Naruto or Dora The Explora.

In real life he'd be stabbed and she'd be eaten by a tiger or ferret or something

Tekkaman was so bittersweet in the end... Personally I prefer to pretend that Tekkaman Blade 2 never actually happened. =O I hate Yumi with a passion, but that's a story for another time. Back to the ending of the TV series.

It was so bittersweet, I was so choked up by it. Blade gets his ass handed to him by Omega, but Aki's prayers (somehow) give him the power he needs to destroy his older brother, but at the cost of his own mind.

He may have been in a wheelchair with severe amnesia, but the important thing was they were together! And if D-Boy and Aki didn't have that at the end... I probably wouldn't love it nearly as much as I do today.

See that right there is why I won't watch TekkamanII.

Especialy with such a short running time, you know it won't be any good, kinda like TF Zone. So for me I just figured why soil the good memeories and thoughts I have for the initial series.

So I prefer to leave TekkaManII to wonder as apose to let down.

As for my referal to this series and a realistic tragic ending, granted they ended up together, but the strife left before them was apparent...

And outside of her actualy staying with him in the face of such circumstance, thats the way life is, bitter sweet, but always bitter.

Now think about it, if they gave you the full blown Disney happy ending, you can't tell me that would have heavily dampened the overall tone of the series :-?

That and they would have broken into song. But man, I could never see things like that. If I had amnesia I'd be horrified by thought of the woman I love abandoning me. As someone who can accept that happening I admire your strength of character.

The only other thing I collect right now besides Transformers is Evangelion figures. I don't have that many, but I'm pleased with what I own.

On the topic of show endings, One of the reasons I like anime is that 9 times out of 10 the ending isn't a happy one. Gantz and Wolf's Rain come to mind.

Lol. Never!

I don't believe in the triumph of friendship and teamwork over evil, but I will never give up on the ideals of true love!

I am such a sucky Decepticon. I wouldn't last two minutes out there.

Ah! Evangelion, now here is a good discussion point. Again like Tekkaman not technically robots, BUT close enough.

I ADORED this series when I first saw it, but recently I have fallen out of love with it. The over emphasis on the human element really destroyed what was a kick ass mecha show, and having Shinji w**k off over Asuka was just a step too far.

It would take some pretty f-ed up humans to instigate the end of the world like they did. Way to go guys, you accomplished nothing. :BANG_HEAD:

Happy endings need more love... they don't have to be super happy disney style endings. But geez, stop killing everyone! I'm going to end up very depressed.

I'm waiting to see how Eva ends for the third time with the new movies. The first one from the TV series was a letdown, the movie version was better but still messed up. I still go back and watch the whole thing every couple of months.

By the way, there's a new line of Gundam model kits called the "SpeedGrade Collection".

It's a 1/200 scale, but it includes a display stand and is fully articulated and fully painted.

And it's half the price of the HG ones.

GRAHF, those are awesome I have a couple boxed Eva items from Soto, but I didn't realize the Revoltechs where so versatile, I may have to invest :-?

What I realy like though and wanted to mention are the stone and tree like things that you have them possed against. Everytime I go to the pet store I look at all the aquarium stuff and think about buying some of it to set my bots up around :-P

But the fact is I don't have a enough shelf space for bots, so for now, that ideas on hold.

The Spawn stuff is hot too, I have the Manga Spawn, but stopped collecting McFarline because way to often the figures would break while opening them, I have about 3 boxes of that stuff waiting to be set up again with a few pieces strewn around lurking in the shadows

-------------------------------------

TEKKA, hats off to ya man, aint nothing wrong with believing in the good life, just so long as you acknowledge that it's a tricky bitch to attain, you'll be let down less. That's all I was getting at :P

--------------------------------------

ERADICATOR, this is a PG-13 site ****! Not ROBOPORN2000.COM :P

(couldn't help that one)

This is what they are actully standing in front of:

Aquarium supplies work well also. If you have the money, I reccomend lace rock or pagoda stone. Some of the fake trees work well. Petsmart carries quite a few tree braches and roots, but the larger ones can cost a lot. I plan to use a lot of my extra stuff as a background for upcoming photo contests.

Those are very awesome, I forgot about all the little mosters that followed Darkness around(or did I get the name wrong)

Still, nice stuff, I love the dragon, and angel, and cyberchick(ghost in the shell?, I don't realy watch it so I'm unsure).

As for the aquarium stuff, I'd mostly go for the stuff like ruin castles, pillars, stone walls, and such. Especialy this time of year, I wouldn't pay for the stones and drift wood they sell.

All of the driftwood and rocks I have are leftover from when I downsized all of my fish tanks. I can only cram so much stuff into a 55gal tank. I used to manage a pet store and picked stuff up when I had some extra cash. When I think about it, paying full price could really add up.

Yes it is a Ghost in the Shell statue. The dragon and angel are from Magic the Gathering. Darklings were the little guys that followed the Darkness around. I have a soft spot in my heart for the look of the Darkness in the begining.
