Scalpers are not the cause of you guys not finding '08 Bumblebee. He is just not widely distributed yet. Distribution takes time. Sadly toys are not like DVDs, CDs, and Video Games that have a release date.

The ones on eBay posted from CANADA are from scalpers. Trust me. They all came from local Zellers and Walmart stores. I saw at least 10 '08 BBs on peg and went back two days late and none were left. Checked eBay and local sellers were posting them. Timing is too coincidental.

10 out of the how many that will be released in Canada? More will ship. And yes it could be coincidental but it does not matter. There is no need to panic. Scalpers have always been part of this hobby and every other. It is nothing new. The first time a figure shows up in your area, yeah it is going to be hard to find and scalpers are going to put it on ebay. However, as wave one stock clears out and wave 2 starts to sneak in more and more the shelf warmers will change. Trust me it always happens.

The same thing happened with the G1 OP reissue back in 2003. Could not find him for love or money as scalpers were buying him and posting him on eBay.uk. I'm telling you now that '08 BB will be very hard to find. Mark my words.

True in 2003 Prime was hard to get, even I missed out. But he was a store exclusive and store exclusives are hard to get from time to time due to the numbers being produced. You are also forgeting that 08 Bumblebee is also going to be release in a 2 pack with Voyager Optimus Prime and will likely be part of other waves. And Scalpers are going to have a hard time buying more Bumblebees if they cannot sale the ones they have. You may also want to check some of the smaller stores in your area other then the big 3 you will be suprised at what you find.

There's always been scalpers, true, but Transformers have not been this popular in a long, long time.

I know scalpers are getting them here too. In fact, some guy on another board casually mentioned how he picked up 7 of them from the same Zellers. He acted like he was doing a good thing by leaving 4 on the shelf.

We may get more later, but that won't stop them from buying them all up again...

No, I live in one of those places you have to be real patient. Everything new usually shows up a month or so after there have been muliple sightings. I agree BB is going to be the big seller in the line.

08 Bumblebee will be released:

Individually carded

A two-pack with Prime

A two-pack with 70's BB

Everyone should be able to get at least one of those versions. Plus, when the market dies down, they will be available on ebay for a price closer to retail. I never found the Skywarp/Magnus two-pack and prowled ebay for months. The price went from $50+ to $40 to $30, then I got one last week for $29. Only $10 over retail, and i didn't use any gas driving all over the country.

Everybody just calm down and eat some fruit or something. You'll get a Bumblebee. I promise.

You're probably right, so long as Canada sees those 2-packs as well. But since we did get the Blackout & Skorpy one, we probably will.

the thing that pisses me off is when target, wally and tru get shipments of toys shouldnt they get tfs? I call when they get shipments and every time they either get old waves or no tfs at all!! wtf?! And the worst part is my friend saw one and didnt hold it 4 me. And when i saw cybertron sideways i called him and put it one hold 4 him! What an ass

08 BB and other movie toys should be reappearing soon. All the Rockford and Elgin, IL area stores that I have been to have almost completely empty aisles for Transformers and other lines. I talked to employees at two different stores (a Target and a Toys R Us), and I was told that as soon as they finish changing over to their fall displays, they will be restocking.

Well... that was a little more decent than most I must admit. Though it's like "Hey I didn't kill five people I only killed 3" Compare that to the sumbitch who reportedly bought up all 25 of them from a store in a shopping cart. I wish there would be limits per customer although as storekeepers why would they care as long as they are selling stuff.

Many of these people who work there know how much they're worth are in it with the scalpers too. how easy it is for them to put aside to buy later, or even steal the stuff!
