This forum is made for telling other forumers about your pets. Posts don't have to be about one pet; They can be about more than one, they just have to be about your own, not someone else's. To start off:

My cats Shadow and Sheba are the best cats I have ever known. Shadow is a very sweet, kind cat, but is mostly revered as the lesser intelligent one because of this. She is kind of slow, as well as large, but when she needs to get away, she runs like the wind. She has a tendency to rub her head on anything she wants to be near. That is her signal that she needs some TLC.

Sheba is thinner and faster than Shadow, and prefers to sleep with me in bed most of the time. She is plenty friendly, as well as sassy. She has been known to leave dead birds on our patio occasionally, and scared the crap out of a feral gerbil. Unlike Shadow, she is active most of the time. She was bought as a friend to Shadow, but the two don't bode very well.

Sheba ditched each collar we gave her, so we had her injected with a tiny microchip in her neck. She was pissed when she got the injection. The chip was to find her when she got lost. Shadow underwent the same procedure. Our kitties are spayed as well, their ovary glands surgically removed, so they don't get all humpy with a strange male cat.

I'm the Crazy Neighborhood Cat Lady 'round where I live. Six indoors: three boys, three girls. A couple of strays that I feed. All of the strays are *orange*, which is a weird coincidence.

My cats have all been rescues. I'll just hit the highlights:

Razielle had ripped out all of her stitches from her spaying but the shelter hadn't bothered to notice.

Frootbat was found sitting by her mother who had been run over. Frootie's the runt of her litter.

Merlie showed up on my front porch one day with his throat ripped open. I ran him to the vet with him bleeding all over a towel in my lap, thinking maybe they could just put him to sleep. They fixed him, pretty much for free (because even they know a sucker).

Dorian (who is gray, yes, I know, terible joke) was rescued from his former owners who a) let their Jack Russell terrior terrorize him and b) actually hit him. They were going to drop him in the parking lot of their condo and let him live as a stray. I had the biggest fight to get them to hand him over to me instead. It took three days before he'd let me touch him. Now, of course, he won't leave me alone.

The other two are almost normal stories by comparison. And this doesn't count the cats I've rehabilitated and given away.

I wish I could have a dog. I love big dogs, especially dobermans. But I keep such weird hours--sometimes I'm at work for 14 hours straight! That's not fair to keep a dog either chained outside or inside, without the ability to go to the bathroom! That's no kind of life for a dog.

HK, I think my neighbors would make more fun of me about it if they didn't all know I had guns. Crazy Cat Lady, Armed Edition.

I miss my yorkie that died 2 years ago. He was so smart and funny.

I have had 3 cats:

Cat number one was Butterscotch he was the friendliest and best cat in this or any other universe, I got him when he was about 4 months old he was so much fun and such great and dear friend. He passed away from cancer about almost 4 years ago.

Cat number two is Terri Lynn Michelle who is long haired black and grey was a stray I found 10 years come Sept. 9. She was already declawed and she's not a lap cat and she screams for her food and usually will only come around me for that reason.

Cat number three is Liara Tali Angel who is a white cat with black patches that I found on the stoop of by apartment building about a year ago she is not as long either Butterscotch or Terri (they both were/are about 3 feet long from nose to tail) Liara is about 2.5 feet long. When I found her I thought she was a kitten until I took her to the vet and we also learned that she has no teeth! She has her claws which I have to get trimmed again. She is very friendly and hungry when I found she barely weighed 5 pounds now he's close to 7 or 8 pounds. She also doesn't meow, cry, or scream like Butterscotch did or Terri does, she does have a very loud hiss (that has woken me up in the middle of the night when her and Terri get into fights over my doorway) and she does make other sounds but they're nowhere near as loud as the other two.

I dont mind when people have multiple cats as long as their house or apartment doesnt smell like cat pee or hair everywhere. I sorta have a cat. Its more my gfs but it likes me more.

All three of our pets were originally my fiancee's. We have two cats (Meeka is white and is the playful one and Cleo is black and is the diva) and a mini-chihuahua (Dixie who is the princess). Dixie and I bonded as father-daughter immediately as she is closer to men than women and I have always been a small dog person. Lately, Meeka has grown use to me and Cleo tolerates anybody who puts food in her bowl.

I'm currently caring for a 1.5 year old crested gecko, Oliver!



What a great little guy to have around! He even stays up all hours of the night with me

I also have a 10 gallon tropical tank, stocked with 2 Corydora Catfish, 3 Black Phantom Tetras, and a make Dwarf Gourami. Loads of fun in a small tank, looks great with the mixed species. I'll leave the big ol' cats and dogs to all you other pet owners

My cats only pee in the litterbox.

I have two medium sized dogs. I'm scared of having little dogs due to the fact that I trip over them. However I trip over my dogs more than My father's girlfriend's Pomeranian.

The first dog is named Bandit, she is called this due to the black fur that used to grow along her eyes like a mask. She is a dog of spite, but she's still a doll . She is a year older than her brother Gerald (Bandit is 4 now). They are both German Shepard, Chow, Rottie, mix. Gerald was named after a man in a soft core porn. He is slow in the head, my mom thinks he's gay, eats dirt and slobbers. I like to squish his face as well, until he tried to push me down the steps (I'll never forgive him for that). Bandit enjoys leaning on my knees, she could probably lean on them until they give out. Speak of the devil *falls over* I'm okay

I have two cats both were born in the house by Paula a stray i brought from a HS class mate who was just gonna slam his car door into her head. I figured the only way to save her was to do the nobel thing.
He needed gass money to go to skill center and I said "Here let' me do this then, I'll take the kitten for five bucks that way you don't kill it and you get gas money for Skill Center."
So we exchanged and made a deal. I took the kitty to a teacher who was a cat lover and she told me i did the right thing and offered me a ride home so I didn't take the kitten on the bus.
I got home and lost my key to the house so I sat in the supply shed behind the house with this kitten to get out of the mid fall rain. I played with her with a toy i made out of a pencil and some string from my fraying jeans. Then finally dad got home and told him what happened and she sayed since till she died. We used to store our fancy punch bowl on top of the refigerator Paula would in summer sleep in there. Curled up and purring in her sleep.

She gave me three kittens, Vangogh, Salem and Angel Angel went to live with grandma and dad and I took Vangogh and Salem.
Salem a black cat who loves attention sat out with me every halloween night while i passed out candy to trick or treaters. The kids loved him! Salem was spoiled would get so much love from the kids. he woudl get treats (kitty treats). He doesn't do it anymore because of the weather getting too cold lately.

Vangogh was like the artist, loving, passionate and wanted my attention so bad he was willing to fight for it. He is a white and black pataches with a long black tail with a white tip. He has his favorite place in my bed in my arms at night and drinking out of my water glass at my nightstand. He also enjoys rolling around on the warm pavement of our driveway. He dosen't paint but he does have a sweet purr.

Sisters bf breeds them he makes decent cash sometimes from selling to people and pet stores.

I've had many pets over the years. Our first family cat Lindsay, died at the ripe old age of 17. Another one of cats had to be put down because he got sick and was in pain. My Dad works for sanitation and found a shi Tzu wandering around one day, so he took him home. We had him for about 11 years, he died last year. He was a good pup. I had two turtles, I couldn't afford to properly take care of them. I gave one away to my Uncle's friend, and another I set free down south by my Grandmother.

Now I have a pug named Max. He was actually a present from all the guys at my Dad's work. They all chipped in money and bought me a dog cause I was sick with Cancer. He's a good dog..although a bit of a brat sometimes.

My Dad has a little dog, which I always forget the breed. She is cute, but a real brat at times. My Sister has a pointer jack russel mix. She is very good. Afraid of everything though. She was afraid of my ROTF Optimus when I made him introduce himself to her....

I'd like to get a cat. I'll wait though. Too many expenses right now.
