What do you mean, graphical user interface was only just becoming common? I'd had Macs for years by 1999! There's computer games from the early 90's that require a mouse to function. Of course, my school had only just upgraded from Apple IIe to power Macs and power PCs, but that was in rural Nebraska. As for the internet, shopping may have been new, but there was lots of information, and porn was not unheard of. Not trying to be mean, but I remember things differently.

Amen to that brother! I remember using American Online in like 96 or 97, playing Quake and looking at nude photos of Jenny McCarthy

Those were the days...

What did everyone think of the current episode?

OK OK, so was Sarah being sarcastic about the cell phone?

I just caught the "SO I just push these 9 numbers to call people?"

My Nephew was talking to me at the time.

I love how the Terminator recreated his skin, but once again.... Things are getting to be too easy again. recreating skin in the bath tub? Seriously?!?!?!

I think was she be sarcastic and basically saying, "I only want a cell phone to call people, I don't care about all that other stuff...". But that is my interpretation...

I would have rather seen him take over a facility like a genetic research building or at least one part of it and grow the skin, obviously this was accomplished quickly as I'm sure that guy was not in the bathroom with the terminator too long. He could do it with the help of the human and fairly quietly, this one seems to be a little bit smarter than your average model 101 terminator.

Well, he did essentially 'kidnap' (sorta) a brilliant medical researcher...

But it was definitely "pushing it" in terms of suspending disbelief....

it would seem like it but it just bugs me now more then ever. If it is that easy to just regrow skin, why didn't they just fix the T2 Terminator, that way he could always be there to protect john?

to steal a quote from scarface..... they "Pushed it to the limit"! I love TV shows, the guy sees this advance robot and doesn't run with fright at all and closes the door when he is told too. Real world.... the guy would of ran like hell out of that place.

Anyone notice that the Terminator didnt want any video tapes or recordings of the even left?

Here is another question.

Sarah is apparently trying to prevent the war.

Did it ever occur to her that if she succeeds, John would be erased from existence? Surely she has seen Back to the Future.

Hard to say, but the series seems to be based on time paradoxes...

Remember, John sends Kyle Reese back from future - and Reese ends up becoming John's dad!

I think Terminator uses a different 'science' for time travel than BttF does....

The movie series uses the concept of Time Loops.

In a deleted scene from the first movie, Sarah was looking up the address of Cyberdyne Systems at a highway rest stop. She and Kyle went to Sunnyvale (aka the home town of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) to blow up Cyberdyne. That was what led to Cyberdyne coming into possession of the terminator's remains.

Skynet's attempt to erase John resulted in John being born, and Sarah's attempt to erase Skynet led to Skynet being born.

Why doesn't Skynet send a Terminator back to when Sarah was a child or when her mom was pregnant with her?

Please don't start the "Why doesn't Skynet send a Terminator to time ________" questions....

I love the Terminator series (film, movie, etc) - but there are so many plots in time travel plots that Prime, Magnus, Motormaster, etc could all drive through it....

If she stops the war, billions of lives are saved. It would be the ultimate sacrifice but its for the greater good! Besides, John shouldn't exist anyway.

John is more like the "plan B" solution if they fail to stop Skynet in the present.

Don't do that I just asked a question.Your acting as if i'm starting trouble

I have seen other questions about time travel in this thread

Why aren't you asking them to stop?
