There are WAY to many kick ass vehicles out there that could be utilized instead out having some robotic dinosaurs (or any other kind of animal) stomping around unless they were sub-characters like Frenzy or laser beak. I saw it already in the Wild Wild West remake, and with scorpinok... I really enjoyed Scorpinok in the movie but I would have enjoyed a robot/Earth-vehicle mode character a lil more...


The 2nd reason...

There are tons of cool characters that could be made into those kick ass cars... I would love to see Mirage, Hound, Prowl, Sideswipe, Sunstreak and Arcee in a sequel.

The movie is too much of a GM commercial as it is. It needs some diversity.

I'm sure we'll have another car mode or two, but I'd hope for some autobot jets, animal-type modes, etc.

Fan demand alone is going to put the Dinobots in one of these movies. Just like Venom was put in Spiderman 3, Grimlock will find his way into TF2 or TF3.

Putting more automobiles in the next TF movie will only make it look like more of a fancy car commercial.

Now that would really childish and fake.

they are even getting ideas of how to get them in this one because the fans all want them in it. it will be interesting to see how they fit them in.

hehehe, niiice. it will seem more fake because they wont disguise into their surroundings as easily. thats the only big thing that makes it different from the others. i think..?

I'm sure there will be a setting where they can hide (forest?).

And I also have zero doubt that their CGI people can make Grimlock look good. They have some flat-out geniuses working for them.

As I recall, that's how they hid in the comics...

The Robots... as you call it... Transform into real vehicles not some pretend Dinosaur thing... Scorpinok has an exception because it suits him... but Grimlock will be a T-Rex... this will turn into Godzilla!

yes, i know not all fans want them in, but there are some. but what new fresh characters could they bring in? all the characters are 'old' technically, and they probably dont want to bring in guys that were rarely in the shows or movie from the 80s.

the difference is, other movies didn't take the time to NAME their vehicles and make them main characters...

Barricade was old? Blackout?

Hell they could give Barricade a partner, a modern pair of Runabout and Runamuck.

But if they want to establish this is "not a silly toy movie franchise" and entice new fans then they need to do new things as much as they need to do old things.

And frankly, the whole Megatron/Galvatron thing, should be completely avoided.

As far as Dinobots, it depends on how far they want us to stretch our imagination. Will non-fans be able to accept transforming dinosaurs? Or will fans jump up and down with "GRIMLOCK DINOSAUR! NOT HORSEY CAR!"

this has been too played out lately in the armada, energon and cybertron.

Can't see the Dinobots, unless they use the comic version and flash back to when they were activated to fight Shockwave.

Unicron you won't have to worry about until the 3rd movie.

and Shockwave can just as easily defeat the Dinobots and leave the planet. he doesn't have to be stuck with them.

I know alot of hard core fans (and im one) love their Grimlocks but I never really cared for the Dinobots. Not that I dont like them, I just find characters with vehicle modes way more interesting. The whole Beast Wars era had me NOT into Transformers AT ALL.

Also, someone mentioned not adding many more car autobots... True, they probable wont add more than 2 more car-mode autobots. But theres plenty of stuff they could use instead of GM vehicles. Arcee as the Motorcycle from the first movie would be the obvious 1st new addition. Other suggestions: (Big Truck) Cadillac Escalade, Dodge Duelly, or Nissan Titan. (High performance car) GTO or Enzo. (Urban Favorite) Dodge Magnum or Chrystler 300.

Other vehicle modes that would be cool to see: Fire Truck, Construction vehicles, and old school cars/truck classic (whatever yours is).. Yea, a '50 classic, better than a robot Dinosaur tryingg to stand still.. (So you wont kotice3 him!)

Dude, we get that you really love cars, but that's everything you just named. Vehicles with 4 wheels, and a motorcycle.

Cars, trucks, fans, hummer, they're all the same to a lot of people. Enough with the ground-based transport vehicles.

Nobody wants to see more Autobot alternate modes that can't fight back, while the decepticons have their own personal military.

I will say Arcee most likely will be in TF2, since she was in the movie comic prequil to begin with.

This is transformers, not an auto expo. Cars are not meant to dominate the show.

Decepticons might get more cars, but the Autobots definitely won't, outside of Arcee probably being a bike.

You're just presuming they're saving the big bad until then.

Again, i'd like to see them not go that way. Unicron was in the animated movie and Armada and Energon pretty much revolved around him.

I imagine they would go with the origin of the Dinobots presented in the Marvel comic. They could of been sent to find the Allspark during Pre-historic earth and ended up frozen during the Ice age. Pretty simple.

Actually, I'd like to see Grimlock but not the other dinos in the next movie. To me, Grimlock was a great character, but the others were really boring and flat. If they do Grimlock, they should take a cue from the comics, an intelligent leader type who resents Prime. Not the big dumbass from the show. That's my two cents.

have autobots bring in hot rod and arcee

starscream will lead the decepticons on the assault against the autobots...soundwave will learn of megatrons location...

hot rod will be the one always taking chances risking himself and others by acting before thinking..perhaps to even impress arcee

the climax of the movie would be when devastator combines and the autobots seem helpless...they work together to defeat him. during the big battle soundwave communicates with shockwave on cybertron, they figure out a way to bring megatron back...and thats the cliffhanger

with megatron back and devastator defeated but still alive, coupled with the autobots badly injured they realize they need stronger reinforcements...prime uses the piece of allspark he has to create the dinobots for the 3rd movie...

3rd movie ends with unicron crashing the party...

4th movie decepticons and autobots join forces to defeat unicron..with megatron betraying prime thus getting the peice of allspark...movie ends witht he decepticons headed towards cybertron...all spark in hand

once back on cybertron they can do whatever they want with the movie because that small piece will open up doors for miles when it comes to a new script

I say YES for dinobots (with the characters from late Marvel US comics), but no more car-formers, especially NOT: Hot Rod (or only if he will be killed, he was overused, can come in the third movie, though.), Blurr, Kup, Wheelie,...

We need more animals, fighter jets (I want the Seekers!), Drink Machines, casettes, ships, tanks... but not cars. Maybe two or three can come: Prowl, Sideswipe, the original characters.

What about the AerialBots so in the sequel? Or the Protectobots...?
