Alright, who do you think would win this battle, the more powerful and durable Xenomorph Drone from the original "Alien"? Or the watered down, weaker, but a bit more agile Xenomorph Drone from "Alien vs. Predator"? Place your vote, and feel free to make a comment.

I dont think that the one from avp was watered down because in the first fight scene that one alien killed two predators by itself and the 2nd one was after it was in that steel net thing

True, but if you compare to the novel versions especially, however, they are very weak. From what I've heard from people who have read the novels, the Xenos are capable of ripping apart steel like aluminum foil, and can only be hurt by explosive tipped, armor piercing shells, as opposed to normal guns. The Aliens were better in the first AvP as compared to its sequel, Requiem, but they're still not quite as strong as the ones in the original movies.

The AvP comics, however, are true to the source material, particularly the novels. I've actually seen scans of some pages in a YouTube tribute video showcasing a group of Xenos slaughtering a group of Predators with little effort. Thanks for your input though.

There's not really a whole lot of difference. Xenomorph's attributes are based on the host.

That said, in the original, the Alien only did so well because it was facing a group of people who weren't prepared to fight it. It only looked more powerful because the heroes were unprepared.

Now, a big horde of Xenomorphs? The Xeno horde in Aliens was up against a group of Marines who knew most of what the Xenomorphs were capable of (Not, for example, that they were smart enough to drop in through air ducts) and four of their group walked away from that.

The Xeno horde in AvP, however, took down a trio of Predators, who all knew exactly what the Xenomorphs were capable of. The horde in AvP was also much smaller, less than a dozen, while in Aliens there was a much larger horde consisting of an entire human colony.

So I would have to say, neither since they're both the exact same thing. However, whoever wins, we all lose.

(No we don't, Xenomorphs aren't that hard to kill if you know what you're doing, and don't get too close)

Id have to say AvP Xenomorphs. The Reasons 1)total beasts 2) they bring a whole new meaning to the word FEAR.

Ah, but in the Aliens comics, the Xenomorphs ended up taking over the earth, the humans were driven from it. Nothing they did could stop them, they kept multiplying and destroying, but then again, I'm still comparing with the comics and novels aren't I?. I think I may have agree with you, besides, even in the original movies, the Xenos are weaker than they are in the books and comics. So I guess perhaps that the AvP Xeno does take the cake.

These creatures are cool but impossible. How do they grow from infant to adult in only a couple of days at most?! How do they gestate inside humans and animals when their biochemistry is so different? Basic science wins.
