What is WRONG with you people?!
Most people probably don't know she broke her ribs.
They were saying she deserved to fall for cheating.
I can honestly say if I fell like that I'd expect people to laugh at me.
Sure, I'd get pissed that people were laughing but if I watched it and realized how stupid I looked and sounded I'd laugh too.
This sort of thing HAS happened to me.
That's not what's so bad about this. I have videos on my computer of people falling and whatnot. They're hilarious.
It's videos that take the screaming and turn it into a dance mix. Complete with flashing screens of "I can't breathe!"
I guess the reason it's so funny is because the world is full of so many worthless people. I didn't realize the extent of it until reading some of the responses in this thread.
Ain't that the truth?
I agree, a simple fall down video, something like America's Funniest Home Videos, etc...where you know it's not permanently damaging, no one's killed or suffers long term, immense pain.
That's not what happened here, people. Her ribs fractured. The pain from that alone is unbelievable. Everytime she breathes...those ribs move. My dad suffered with broken ribs for about six hours on a hospital gurney and his pain was immeasurable. He said his stint in therapy was far less painful. He said the ribs are a pain you haven't felt before.
People have died from their ribs fracturing and pieces of the bone rupturing the outer wall of the heart, puncturing a lung, etc. (Granted, those are extreme cases, but it has happened)
Through out all of that, I find no humor.
Beyond that, let's push this aside for a moment.
...finding pleasure at another's misfortune and pain (especially pain and suffering) is despicable and absolutely inhuman. One of these days, someone will laugh in your face in your time of need...won't be "HIGH-LARIOUS" then, will it?
Treat others as you'd like to be treated. Well, from where I'm sitting, I guess we should laugh when something bad happens to you? Remind me to call CNN, I want that plastered all over the world. "A Call To Laughter: People willing to dehumanize those in suffering." it'll be a big hit and win an Emmy.
