Random Thoughts (may contain spoilers)

Ok ive seen it and although alot of Stuff has already been said im gonna come out with a few things i havent seen posted in the first page already.

First up (and this has been posted already), It was awesome. Ill admit i saw it the 'naughty way' but thats because it isnt out for 3 more weeks here though i will be going for the Cinema experience too.

Did anyone else notice that a number of the Bots had some serious personality issues? From Frenzy going poco-loco all the time to Ironhide suggesting he 'neutralise' the Witwickys. Primes reponse of "what the hell is with you?" is obviously an attempt to humanise it but in fairness reminded me of a Smith/Lawrence style bad boys effort. That whole backyard scene began to annoy me at one point simply because it was so obvious that it was the 'lets make the Bot charachters human' scene. With them falling over, treading on things they shouldnt or looking in the wrong window and pulling back before their seen etc.

Frenzy did actually impress me. Despite having the least humanoid structure (ok he was the basic shape but was basically a collection of spindly sticks that could reform anyway he liked) he did have the most personality. Making random gestures like shaking his fist at the guys shooting at him, posing to reload (once again ala bad boys) and walking across the Runway to Barricade with his hand over his face as if disgusing himself. Genius!

Bumblebee was pretty cool though couldnt agree with the 'lubrication' scene. That was just wrong in so many ways.

Is it just me or have Ironhide and Ratchet been taking dance lessons? During the fight scenes they spent the entire time spinning, rolling and basically diving around which leads me to beleive they were the 'look what we can do' subjects for the FX guys.

Jazz......i read an early script and really hoped it wasnt true. He should have had so much more and that death didnt do him justice though in fairness he was the 'token black guy' of the Autobots and as such was the most likely to be taken out. (Nice Breakdancing in that opening transform though ;))
Did anyone else see his big moment of Glory though taking a page out of Kups playbook when he redirected Brawls shooting in tank Mode. Gotta love it when the effects guys give nods back to the source.

Screamer. Damn someone at ILM (or whoever did this) seriously likes Starscream. The number of face melting set pieces he had! The Arrival at the Damn, the sliding attack (transforming while flying down the Street) and the Damn cool standing jump and Mid-air transform....he didnt say much but to be fair he didnt need to.

And one last thing i noticed. In most of the Trailers the Hacker dude (i forget his name) was always seen saying 'the Giant robot is REALLY distracting' but it wasnt in the film. Either that or i just plain missed it but as far as i could tell he never went up against one of the Big ones, just Frenzy.
Iron Man, Iron Man, Does whatever an Iron can!
