What do you mean tiny? They're actual size! The only one that's scaled down is the binoculers.

The upcoming High Score (console PS2 styled controller) is definitely underscaled. The rest seem close enough to scale 1:1

I think they're awesome as well. Some are somewhat small, but they're all very cool and easily worth the $6.99.

For once, I agree with you. ;;)

I hope they don't short-run Mean Time.
They'd sell a million copies if they made them.

Imagine the product recognition it could cause, being a working watch assloads of kids are walking around with.

Real gear is the only tf line in history that I am seriously concidering getting doubles of. I think it'd be very cool to have em displayed in both modes with these.

meantime is not a working watch. having him taken apark, there is absolutely no way you could make him work, even if you scrapped the rotating screen, the automorph would get in the way.

We're paying 13 euros ($15,76) for these and I still think they're worth it.

Small he maybe, but he is also one of my vaf movie tf figures, the little yellow has a really fun transformation, a nice looking alt mode, and a nice looking really posable robot mode.

Only complaints are even if the glass wasnt clouded, the lenses are to close together to use without damageing your eyes, and (on my one) the display screen sticker (otherside of the flap that forms the chest) is upside down.

Still, fantastic toy.

I don't remember anyone complaining in g1 that soundwave and his cassettes were undersized.

The real gear robots are a good size for basics and they appear to be the most popular element of the movie line, as this thread demonstrates.

Soundwave and Company were 1/1 scale in altmode.
He was a mini-cassette recorder.

it seems that longview is supposed to be held mostly-black-side up. and having completed wave one today, i have to say, they make a great mafia!
speedial-leader, with perhaps a couple of clones-minus faces- as personal bodyguards
spyshot- weapons maker and drugs procurer
longview- mid level loan shark
meantime- little guy with an attitude problen that swagers around with high score
highscore- heavy loan shark who is the dumb muscle
powerup- addict
zoomout- blackmail expert and accountant
booster- spy on rival gangs and scout

No he wasnt.

He was BLATENTLY based on a Walkman. His alt mode was slightly smaller, and the cassettes were MUCH smaller. Microcassette machines tended to look completely diferent to walkmans. For a start most portable ones have a speaker and a microphone. (Soundwave never had speakers, just instructions that told the kids to put stikers in the wrong place.)

EDIT: I just noticed my soundblaster does have ' microcassette recorder' on one of his legs, but I see this very much as an afterthought frankly. My point still remians valid, the origanal takara toy (pre transformers) was designed to be and marketed as a transforming walkman.
