They couldn't release it due to Sony having already released the 20th Anniversary DVD release.Dean ML wrote:Really can't believe Shout Factory isn't putting out a 25th anniversary edition of TF:TM. I would've thought it was a given after they released all of the original series. Any word at all?

Wait... what? Tell me what I'm missing here.
Um, Shout! Factory's DVDs have largely MORE new extras that the previous DVD releases never had. Their G1 sets are chock full of new never-before-seen extras that Rhino never had.Tidalwavex wrote:The Shout version of the 1986 TF Movie would probably be inferior & missing extra's that previous versions had. because Shout doesn't appear to be able to get the permission to use some extra's like deleted scenes, interviews, story boards art sketches,multi-language tracks.
That is only one of TWO things Shout! didn't carry over from the Rhino BW DVDs. Like their G1 DVDs, Shout! also included several new BW extras that Rhino's DVD did not have.Tidalwavex wrote:examples: Shout didn't have the deleted BW Megatron spark extraction scene but the Rhino version did.
Are you MAD!? The fact that they did not include those confounded awful Omni Productions dubs is a GODSEND! Those dubs are a disgrace to the magnificence original version in all ways.Tidalwavex wrote:Shout wasn't able to obtain permission to get the weird english voice overs tracks for the headmasters, masterforce & victory TF cartoon's series. the UK Metrodome version had the english tracks for headmasters, masterforce & victory

Tidalwavex wrote:1- It's not a quanity contest. it's a what fans want as extras contest. most fans really wanted the BW spark extraction scene & would have traded away all the awful SHOUT BW extra's for it. most fans wanted the awful english dubs so they could hear what was going on in those G-1 Japanese G-1 cartoons. reading all those text words can be tiring at times. deleting the english tracks & giving extra's that fans didn't want nor need makes those extras not needed thus non-existant. it's the equivelant of trying to order a big mac, french fries & a soda & being told all they have is a MC Fish sandwich.
Tidalwavex wrote:2- the spark extraction scene is major. it's a scene that wasn't in the cartoon. it's value is priceless. it can't be replaced by some crappy other extra's. given the choice of watching a bunch of old timer voice actors move around the set & make jokes in the extra's or getting able to see that BW Spark extraction scene via extra's on the DVD. I'd chose the BW Spark extraction scene always & forever.
Tidalwavex wrote:3-You may not like the 1990's English dubs that were created for the takara Japanese G-1 exclusive cartoon series for headmasters, masterforce & victory. but others do like them. it's just leaps & bounds better than watching these cartoons in the japanese language & wondering what's happening & what their saying. sub-titles can be a drain on the eyes/brain if your watching multiple episodes per day or a long marathon of episodes over a weekend.

3a-I find it funny & amuzing some complain about those 1990's english dubs for the takara japanese exclusive G-1 cartoons series. Because Energon, cybertron & beastwars had the worst voice talent I've ever had the dis-pleasure of listening to. RECAP: Cybertron had a dozen+ transformers robots talking in stero type immigrant accents or gang related accents or in thundercrackers case a stero type cowboy. Beastwars had a bunch of awful sounding characters like imnferno, quickstrike, airazzor who sounded like a 60 year old english maid ,etc... armada carlos's stero type voice. energon snowcats yodeling,etc... animated blitzwing's voice.
3b- I actually find the 1990's english dub for the exclusive Takara Japanese cartoons more better & superior. compared to the voice talent hasbro used for armada, energon & cybertron. at the very least the 1990's english dubs didn't have any stero type gang realated voices nor any stero type immigrant voices.
3C--I don't mind hearing other countries accent voices,as long as those doing the accents were actually born in that country. hearing some guy who was born in american faking a british or austrailan accent is just plain awful & pure torture to listen to. hearing guys pretend to fake gang related accents is also equally awful.
I was extremly lucky to buy the MISB UK Metrodome ultimated Japanase Takara trio cartoon TF series for over 85% off a few years ago. AMAZON UK was having a deep clearance sale & were pratically giving away the stuff. I also got the UK Rid complete series, with all the episodes/scenes that got deleted for the american release due to the 9/11.

I just wish Shout!/Hasbro didn't try to Americanize so much in the subs. Their subs claim that they're all saying stuff that they clearly are not saying.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:As long as I have an English subtitle, I'm happy. I don't really care much about extras, for the most part.

Indeed. Nucleon Quest Super Convoy is the form Convoy took after his Star Convoy body in the second quarter of the 21st Century. He bonded with the Nebulan Hi-Q (this being the first instance of Nebulos' existence in this timeline) to become a Powermaster and, after coating themselves with a phase modulation shield, the two set out to retrieve some Nucleon located within a black hole. They needed the Nucleon as a new power source to revive Cybertron after its near-total destruction in The Headmasters cartoon.RhA wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Was I referring to Powered Masters? When I make a mental picture of you, all I can ever think about is that smilie.
Plus; jp continuity knows powermasters? Are you referring to Nucleon quest Convoy?

"Jigoku" does not mean "Pit" or "Inferno" (referring to the actual TF term, not some metaphor), it means "Hell". And what's more, they actually use the word Hell for HALF of the episodes before the subs suddenly start changing that to "Pit" and "Inferno".
Alpha Trin (not a typo) does not say "Light our darkest hour" in Japanese . He simply beckons the Matrix to revive.
Powermasters and Godmasters are not the same thing. And they both exist in the Japanese cartoon continuity as two separate things.
And there's much more than this.
