AS an ex-STFU member, it humors me to see it brought up here. Well wishes to the other old timers.

Pm coming your way bud and yes after what happened to me (and the person that stalked my wife on FB but I got blamed) a few years ago I don't trust anyone on this site. No I don't forget things especially when that happened.

What initially started the STFU crap was something about fraud and cheating someone that was trying to buy things from the store here that was set up, also that some claimed that the site owner was a huge tool (I'll keep my opinions about that to myself for the time being). It was a whole nasty mess.

Site owner took a lot of posters money and didn't send the comics that he was supposed to. I was one of those people, but did eventually get my comics. Which I still have and love.

That's just how we were "back in the day." Now there are a lot of rules and an image to maintain due to the franchise's rise in popularity in the last 15 years. Everything has to be child friendly. >:oP

I'm gonna list some names. Most of you won't know or remember them, but some of you old farts like me will. These are some posters from years past that I miss, in no particular order:

Chosen
Ground Zero
Negare
Supreme Convoy
Tammuz
Halo
Shadowman (never thought I'd miss this kid, but I do)
Happy Locust
Maximus Prime
Lord Galvatron
Milanion
Leonardo
Sayia Maximal
Neko
Blastback
Redstreak

And some names that, while not remembered the most fondly, they sure are remembered:

Terrorscream
Dr. Spengler
Morph
Alvin Prime
Raymond T (not bad necessarily, but this dude would go on massive rants about laser cores anytime somebody mentioned sparks.)

Some chick with kitty in her name? She always went on about her Asperger's.

Fangry

And so many others, lost to the sands of memory. I joined this site 16 years ago, last month. What a ride its been.

I raise a beer to those of you no longer with us, and to those of you still here? Get a life. Nerds. :-P

*looking at these names*
Happy Locust was probably the guy i was closest too here. Funny, creative, always doing something, the reason I stuck around as hard as I did back during the World Domination HQ spam threads. He made this site memorable to me.
Halo was here and there for me. Always a part of the fun 'ask us' threads.
Chosen is someone who I don't have any positive memories of. He and I butted heads a lot, and was the first case of mods telling me to cool it (and presumably him too). But I won't deny part of it was because I was like 15 and very stupid when I joined this site.
Neko, also someone fun to mess around with back when me and some others found the backdoor into the party thread.
Shadowman was the guy who coined some stuff for my awful sprite comic, clever guy. Always liked him despite never really interacting with him too much.
There was also a guy called Swindle who lived up to his name. Made a toy trade with a then very trusting kid me and never paid me. I know he used several aliases on this site.
I remember Whisper who made me my Sig, and some for other people too.

Locust was just fun. The whole building thread crew generally, a bunch of loveable goofballs, had me racing to the computer to see what was up and join in on the insanity. The World Domination thread was the best.

It'd be intresting to see how much folks have changed. Lot of us were teens during the old days, who's matured, who's still fun. Are some of the folks I remember being jerks as bad as i remember etc.

You know, I miss the building threads, they were endless fun on a slow night at 'the pub'. If we did them now, my characters wouldn't bitch about domination plots failing, it would be not having time to take over the world, 'cause I have to take my kids somewhere, then do errands, then work then..... God, those days were 20 years ago. Jesus H, Mary, and Joseph, but we are getting old.

I was quite shocked to see that I only made this thread 5 years ago. Seems much, much longer than that to me. Maybe it's just part of getting old though. The memory is going right along with my greying hair.

Oh the Building threads were the reason I stuck to this site as much as I did. Makes me wish I could download the threads and keep them archived for casual rereading.

Sure did. :-D ironically, it was an attempt to troll the mods by trying to insinuate that they all live on the top floors and look down on us peons.

...and then a short while later I became a mod.

This place got quiet. I logged in to see if I could surprise someone I bought a G1 Grimlock off of back in 2008/2009 and send it back to them, but my DMs end in 2010. Oh well.

A number of people from the mid 2000s to mid 2010s don’t even have a mention here at all. Counterpunch, Razorclaw2000, Ravage… I’m in touch with a handful of people, but not all. If anyone remembers the “fan art” I made of Shadowman, I still have it. Maybe one day I’ll repost it to Etsy

I hope everyone is doing well. Take care of yourselves. I think about my friends here, and those who are no longer with us. I’m not sure when I’ll log in again, so I’m sending out love into the world. <3

Thanks bud.

As for me, I'm still in direct contact with a number of people here, mostly those I came up with.

In all honesty, my career came together around the same time my son was born. I just stopped having time to have an online presence.

Hope all is well. I think we're still connected via FB, but I'm not on there too much either.

It's been a while since I last posted, the site had some issues when I last tried to log in back in 2019 and I only just got a reply yesterday, UK time, so it's all sorted out now.
Things have been...rough on my end with my mum's passing over two and a half years ago due to a painkiller she had been prescribed for severe nerve pain having a fatal side effect, some rather unfortunate issues with some narcissists, two of which I had to report to Social Services and Child Protection due to serious concerns for their child's safety, ended up badly injured by their harm of me and I now have a rather large scar from a 10cm full thickness laceration of the midline forehead that required 22 stitches, the scar runs down from my hairline to my left eye and I have chronic headaches and dizziness from the injuries.
Also had to move home in 2020 just before the first lockdown as bigots decided that my life wasn't worth anything but to make themselves feel secure in their insecurity.

On the Transformers collection front the collection has grown quite a bit and I've been doing deskbot photos for over two years or so, most recent additions being the Naruto crossover set, Masterpiece Super Ginrai who isn't worth the money asked. Great figure but overpriced for what you get and annoyingly fragile in two places. Also managed to get a set of G1 Micromasters and ordered some more, managed to get rarer figures as well which has been nice. Even been building Blokees and Yolopark models.

Also got into the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series starting from 0 through to 7, completed those as well as Judgment, Ishin and Gaiden. Currently on Lost Judgment with Infinite Wealth afterwards and I'll see about getting the upcoming new game in the series as soon as I can.

I'm still as quiet as ever and with my mum no longer around then I tend to not have much, if any, social interaction.

Hey ReinaHW - I just wanted to let you know that I saw your message, even if it's been a while since you posted. I completely understand what you're going through; my birth mother passed away back in January 2018 and it really derailed me for quite a while, including with my work here on Seibertron. Grief has been a tough journey, and I can relate to how it impacts how much we interact with others.

If you ever feel like sharing more about your experience or just want someone to talk to who understands, I'm here. Take care of yourself.
