So far I've got a Jazz with a floppy arm, a FAB Frenzy with a loose hip, and a Starscream with a misaligned cog that means the rotating launcher gimmick gets jammed against the wing on one side. Looks like Hasbro may have found their glass ceiling for large production runs.
Anyway, as I say it looks like a very nice figure. Did you apply the black wash yourself?

Same with Thundercracker. I picked him up, but I sent him on his way to someone who wanted him a lot, lot more than I did. I haven't been overly impressed with the movie line, anyway. Though a few figures are pretty awesome. Good job with your Ratchet, btw!

The black wash (dark grey actually) is a diluted flat enamel paint wash to give it a dirty/weathered look and pops some details on the sculpt. Easy stuff anyone can do. Its pretty rough still, as I didn't have time to do it in a more refine fashion. Might do a 2nd pass on this later on, and add some silver highlights to make it more metal-like. Have been painting all my movie figures in similar fashion.
DevastaTTor wrote:Huge favor to ask-could you PM me or post a couple of tips here and let me know some of the details of your wash process. It looks great-as does your others you've posted. I'm about to give it a try but couldn't find much about the details: the process as far as application, dry time, what you're using to rub off the excess, etc. I'm dying to give this a try.
