RID was just fun! The jokes, the action... Just turn your head the other way when all the extra kids come running in. I loved the whole Fortress Maximus thing. I looked forward to it every day it was on. I never found Optimus Prime in stores but I did find Ultra Magnus, which is one of the most under rated toys ever. Last year I found an RID prime MISB on buy it now and offered a best offer of less than 15 dollars plus 5 bucks shipping... they took it :D

Motto: "Can't do a job halfway. What's worth doing is worth doing well, I say."
Weapon: Saber Blade
"Who's the baddest shark around?
Who's the smartest shark in town?
Sky-Byte, that's me!
Who'll drive Scourge into the ground
And never let old Megatron down—
Sky-Byte, that's me!

Who gets too hungry for seafood at eight?
Who swims the ocean, and always looks great?
Cha-cha, cha-cha cha,
Who always bothers with robots he hates,
Sky-Byte, yes Sky-Byte, that's—me!

Who's the smartest shark around?
Who's the coolest shark in town?
Sky-Byte, that's me! Ha!" - Sky-Byte

"He should keep his day job." - Scourge

RiD was great. Scourge and Ultra Magnus were its coolest characters 8) , and Sky-Byte was who stole the show 8-} . He's like the Mater of RiD. :P

It's final overall plot was beyond lame Mega/Galvtron wants to make little kids believe evil will always win so freaking stupid. Most of the running gags were just plain annoying as hell. Not to mention that Autobots had massive number advantage over the cons and they never could beat them. Most of the later characters only appered for no more than 3 episodes. No real character delvopment.

RiD did had pretty good animation but Energon and Cybertron blew it out of the water. As bad as some of the Unicron Trilogy was it still was trillion times better than RiD was.

I could not have stated it better! I attempted to give ALL Transformers animated serials a chance, and I could not even choke down an entire episode of RiD before I had to shut it off. I was sickened by the weak and cheesy dialogue...granted it is a kids' show, but JEEBUS! I think it is even insultive to the wee-ones!

Just abysmal!

WTF?!
Energon is ****, I tried watching that on youtube I didn't even get passed the first episode while of RID I went and watched 3 eppies the first day.

The way I see it, no one can logically insult a series unless they seen all or most of it.

I lked RiD because it was a nice change from Beast Machines, which was pure seriousness. Don't get me wrong, I liked Beast Machines a lot, but RiD got back to the friendly appearance of the Transformers and so prepared me for the Unicron Trilogy. Armada was a unique idea, but its script could've been better. It was very pokemonesque at first, but got good when characters like Sideways, Blurr, and Jetfire came onboard. Its last story arc with Unicron was the best of the four arcs, and drove away from the "Gotta Catch'em All" feel that the first two arcs had.

Energon, started off great, but soon turned into a failure. It's plot was so repetitive and lacked so much. When ever the story started getting good at going somewhere, something would happent hat would restart the whole plot all over again. It brought in lots of cool new characters, but didn't give them much characterization and development. Whenever some characters would start to go through some development, they would either be killed off, reformatted into a new body with a new/different personality/memory. The series had so much potential, and yet wouldn't risk going the extra mile to make it great. At least it had that 500th episode special, but even that episode was weird and didn't fit in with the rest of the series (when it aired, there was no time for them to be playing that simulation game).

Cybertron was, at best, a breath of fresh air. It was a new story, but Hasbro was so insistent of making it another sequel that they forced in a bunch of references to Armada and Energon into its dub, and it still didn't fit with them. It was slightly better animated that Energon, but not by too much. Stock footage was abundant, but the dub would make fun of this (Leobreaker: "Why do we always go this way?") or they would just add in more dialogue to break the silence in these sequences that didn't help nor harm them in any way, thus making Cybertron slightly more enjoyable to watch than Galaxy Force, but not by much. Plus, it had one of the best Starscreams I've ever seen. He's up there with G1 and Animated Screamer, but he's probably the most megalomaniacal Starscream of them all, willing to risk everything for more power and supremacy. In case you haven't notied yet, Cybertron was my favorite of the three.

All in all, no Transformers series is perfect. They all have and will have there flaws and errors.

I haven't seen this series yet, but I'm tempted to order it from the UK. My laptop is formatted to region 4. I have one question. If I buy an external DVD-Rom, can it be formatted for Region 2 just like the one I did in my laptop? If so, this series is mine, yessss!

I liked RID, except for the last 2 or 3 episodes. I have each episode that was aired on tape. :D
