I have only ridden one roller coaster. It was the Villain at Geagua Lake. I'm terrified of heights. Even being on a 3 foot step stool gives me a really really bad case of vertigo. I don't know why I thought riding a roller coaster would be any different...
They literally had to pry my fingers off the bar when it was over. Its not like I was a little kid either, I was in my senior year of high school

I hate roller coasters, the only one I've rode on is The Legend, in Holiday World. I just hate the way they feel (meaning that after wards I'm trying to find a pulse) but I love water slides...of course those have less of a drop

I don't like roller coasters and have decided to never ride them again. I do have a fear of heights, but it is more to do with motion sickness. I have gone on some and the "Corkscrew" at Cedar Point had me faint in like 3 seconds until it ended, which I guess was good since I would have probably been freaking out if I hadn't fainted.
I did find two rides that aren't roller coasters, but very thrilling in Epcot. My fiancee and I were in Disney in June and we went on the Dinosaur and Maelstrom rides and they were awesome. These are two awesome rides for people like me who have a problem with roller coasters, but still want to be on cool rides.

I'm not a big rollercoaster fan either. I did ride a few at Cedar Point, in Sandusky, OH. The greatest park for coasters. My favorites there are Raptor, and Disaster Transport, which is an inside coaster and you ride it in complete darkness, never knowing what's coming next. Awesome. I have yet to build up the courage to ride Millenium Force.
And the Villain at Geuga Lake was my favorite. The biggest wooden coaster, right? Too bad the park got shut down.

Yeah, the Villain was the big wooden one. I got told by my friend that if I was going to ride one, I might as ride the evilest sumbitch there

I'm mad that both Sea World and Geagua Lake are closed. I visited both multiple times a summer. Pretty decent price and there was a ton of stuff to do at both places.
I think they turned the whole land area into a giant water park...haven't been there though.
Man, its weird when someone on here actually knows the area!

i actually went to K'nowbles a few weeks ago. i turned down the rollercoasters there, and most of the rides. Pwersurge was my first ride of the day, and that messed my stomache up for the whole day. i almost threw-up on one of the 'baby' rides.
i hate motion sickness

I used to go a few times a summer until it became Six Flags. I went the year it became Geaga Lake again. Ended up in South Euclid trying to get there though

South Euclid? That's all the way on the other side of Cleveland! Did you go the wrong way on 80 or something? When I rode the Villain, it shook so bad. It made me queasy. I didn't mind the ups and downs, it was just so rattling and shaking. Then I actually went and rode it again right after, and threw up.

Yeah, Sea World was fun. I actually saw Shamu before he went to Orlando in '97 or '98. He had his own tank and everything. After it got turned into Six Flags, i went once. I rode the X-Men X-Flight ride, and got so pissed off at the suckiness of it I almost walked out. The only thing that saved me was I was with my NASCAR buddy and we bought $50 worth of go-kart tickets and just rode around for about 2 hours.

As for waterparks, Soak City, next to Cedar Point is a lot of fun. Last time I was there was in 2003, and I got so damn sunburned I am scared to even go back. I am pasty white and for some reason no amount of suntan lotion or sunblock works on me. I was so damn miserable all that wek.

And knowing Northeast Ohio...I only know it so well because when I first got my license and my first car ('84 LeBaron!) I couldn't stay at home and I would just ride around all over for hours during the summer. Back when gas was about $.99 and we could do stuff like that without becoming homeless.

Re: roller coasters
I used to like roller coasters okay (though I'm really more of a 'spinny teacup till others throw up' kind of gal). My first one was at Hershey Park in PA--the big wooden one. I remember going with my dad on the other one they had there--one of the first ones that actually went upside down. SO much fun.
But after my...'training accident' I've never been able to cope with anything that felt that much like falling. I went on one a few years ago with a bunch of friends. They had a great time. I was somewhere between panic attack and crying. Not so fun.
HK, by the way, when you hit the ground from high enough up, you *bounce*.
