Hmm.

A few years back I went into my local TRU and found that they had a shed load of Energon Ultra Magnus figures, this was at a time when the Cybertron line was well established. The UM figures were on sale for something like £15. I knew that they were popular so I bought 4 and put them on Ebay with a start price that covered its cost and the Ebay/Paypal fees. I was amazed at the prices I was getting for these figures. So I went back to TRU and bought 4 more and again they returned a tidy profit. I must have bought nearly the entire stock of UM figures from TRU as each time I went they still had the same sort of numbers as on the previous visit.

I would say that 90% of the figures I sold went to the US or Canada, with the rest going to Australia and Europe.

I dont feel like a scalper as the figures were going to people who clearly couldnt get them where they were and they only sold for what people wanted to pay ( they were bidding auctions and not buy it now ).

To Nate-

Where you ever able to find the figure that you were looking for?
If you haven't yet so far, the only options I could think of now (if I were getting one of these) is either to wait and wait for prices to drop, or to 'bite the bullet' and get one of them from the scalpers.

It might not be the best thing, but it's all you can do at this point.
