Searching in Cincinnati's West Side

Hi, Seibertronians..just thought I'd quickly share my Cincinnati Ohio trek story with you all from this morning.

I have a very understanding girlfriend, and one of whom humored my midnight trek to Meijer last night at around 11:30. I'm glad I went; it was the ONLY STORE that had the Deluxe Class! WTF? The smallest standard figure offered in the line..and they're the only store to stock them? Eh..anyway I picked up the only one in that line I wanted, Brawl (tank), and left for the night.

This morning I went to the Toys R Us in Western Hills, Cincinnati Ohio to find a small section of the 'seasonal' area devoted to Transformers. It was nice to see SOMETHING, but it was F A R from the big aisle-laden pics i've seen on this site. Once again I'll re-emphasize they did NOT have ANY Deluxe Class Transformers at all.
They were stocked to the gills with the Prime Helmet and the Optimash Prime Mr. Potato Head, both of which I avoided. I did purchase my two personal holy grails of the search; Voyager Class Ironhide and Leader class Optimus Prime.

Despite having found my personal choices, I went to the nearby Glenway Crossing (Or Glencrossing Way...?) Target. They also did NOT have any Deluxe class Transformers. They had the Leader class Prime, but for 44.99- 5 bucks more than TRU had it for.
They also had the voice-keychain soundrop..it's terrible. I was planning to purchase it but after hearing some unfamiliar voice saying Prime's lines..badly..I put it back on the shelf. No sound effects in that soundrop keychain..much to my further dissapointment.
They also did have the besheets, I noticed.

There was only ONE item EACH of these three stores had: The Unleashed Bumblebee. That won't be difficult to locate later if I so choose to pick it up.

No Megatrons of any sort at any store. (Not that I personally mind..)

All in all, a hot, muggy, humid yet exciting and fun morning!
The fans WERE there..yet in small numbers and in unenthused demeanor. I'd go as far as to say most of us were disappointed to learn there were no aisles filled with red Transformer box goodness..just an occasional endcap or so.
I got what I was looking for; now onto WAVE 2 and the 08 Camaro Bumblebee..whenever THAT will come along!
