Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'
We already got a taste of his leadership in "This Is Why I Hate Machines" and in "The Stunti-Con Job", in which his arrogance and conceit dominated above all, even making threats to Sideswipe and Cheetor just because they interrupted the Stunt Convoy performance he was watching.TurboMMaster wrote:Why so sure Sentinal would be bad leader? He is charismatic, inteligent and seems to understand that decepticons should be destroyed. He have it's flaws, but there was a small chance for him.
The actual publicly known information on season 4 says otherwise.TurboMMaster wrote:I think i he was going to die in seazon 4, the last few episodes would be about Sentinel becoming true hero.

A few of the folks who worked on Animated had also worked on The Tick, so they'd be suing themselves in that case.Rodimus Prime wrote:Also, I wonder if the creators of The Tick gave serious thought to an infringement lawsuit...

Actually, I belive he have more in common with Plucky Duck from Tiny Toon Adventures since he is acutaly a good and quite powerfull guy with too big ego, and that usually backfires at him. He have (at worst) a lot in common with Zapp Brannigan from Futurama either.Sabrblade wrote:Also, it's not a blatant ripoff as there are far too many differences in the designs between Sentinel and the Tick to raise any fuss.
I quess it is because they are original. I really like idea of recreating character from scratch, and it's a shame that this is so uncommon, mostly because of fans reception (Althought, Prime had changed many characters, with many characters rectreated from scratch).DarkEnergon wrote:The characters in Animated were just so fun - i loved the starscream clones - i loved animated starscream, but i agree that blitzwing and sentinel were the two best.

I belive that Sentinel lives in denial. Deep inside he is aware that it's all because of him, and he knows what other bots are thinking about him. He is just to proud to confess to it.Sabrblade wrote:But as for his reconciling with Optimus in "Predacons Rising", it took him learning the truth about Blackarachnia to do so, since he had blamed Optimus all those years for what happened to Elita-1, thinking she had died.
So technically, Sentinel is aware that Optimus is in many ways better than him. And that is why he try to prove so badly that this isn't true.Sabrblade wrote:Though, even after that moment between the two, he went right back to belittling Optimus in the "Decepticon Air" episode, and then looked very annoyed and jealous of Optimus when he showed up back on Cybertron with three captured Decepticons (including the mighty Megatron), the Magnus Hammer, and a reconstituted AllSpark.
