Our PM proudly dances around the fact she's finally scored the elusive FTD with China.
She signed it a few days ago, right around the time the Chinese police and military were killing themselves a few monks in Tibet.
NZL often stands up for human rights, and breaks out the verbal arse kickings to any nation that might impinge on those rights. Dafur, Zimbawe, N. Korea, Americans and that little POW camp you lot have. But obviously the mouths of our wretched politicans are sewn shut when tarrif lifting is involved.
Not that a great deal of you young 'ens would care, or even know where China or NZL is (ah, the ignorance of youth). I have to make the statement, that the majority of NZLers (like 70+%) are super duper pissed at our wretched hypocritical PM and her cowardly government. (Let it be known I've never had much love for our manly female PM).
Usually I'm pretty proud to call my self a New Zealander. But not today.
So much for freedom, democracy and human rights, they can all be overlooked for the right amount of $$$.
SHAME!!

Such broad generalization in concerns to everyone else, but boldly removing yourself in concerns to the actions of your own government.
Oh, go cry into your Big Mac.

Go cut yourself and admire your overgrown bowel cut.

It's pot shots like these that make me regret coming to boards like this.
What POW camp that I have? I don't remember having a personal stake in Guantanamo. I didn't open the damn thing, and I have very little to do with it's operations.

No democracy can truly wash its hands of the actions of its government.

Well, no. Because that would go against the principles of democracy by definition. The government is always accountable to the people, and when the people don't like the goverment's actions, then the government ceases to meet it's designated function to represent the people.
Feh, I've been reading a lot of John Locke recently...
