It should have stayed that way.

Exactly, They could have labeled it under the Evolutions banner.

Just like Hearts of Steel.

They dismissed too much of the existing IDW story.

I plan on reading the TPB in a coffee/book shop in its entirety.

If I don't like it, I am going to drop IDW comics entirely. They don't get my money for a few years of a story only to toss it aside and "Start Fresh'.

Who do they think they are...Dreamwave?

I've said the exact same to my comic store after someone left me a comment on the idw boards that he hopes I pick up an idw comic in the future and enjoy it.
I have to import these from the US, and if they fu** them up I'm not going to import them and I will never find them on the shelves.
Who the hell do they think they are? They're some small unknown comic publisher I've only ever heard off as they started to make TF comics they're not MARVEL or DC they're nobody.

They ARE somebody because they are producing approved fiction and art for our beloved toy franchise.

Which I liked then they ruined by taking away everything I liked about it = I won't have to import them any longer. Nun of their titles were ever sold over here except maybe Buffy but that's it.

and because of this, I have to speak my mind about the company discarding the previous few years of comics for this insane warping of what should have been a side-project into the main line story...

Where is Verity? (Verity was a really good human character for once!) Why is the whole of Cybertron alive after 1 Earth year when it was previously dead? Prime? Every bit of development up until AHM?

EDIT: You know...the more I think about this the more I am convinced AHM is not tied to the main story, but is instead the aftermath of Spotlight Mirage (Set in a parallel universe).

This theory had crossed my mind as well, if this is the conclusion we get then it also means that the "reset" switch is pressed with their being no consequences, but it would also force them down one of two ways of going
1) They knew this was going **** and just botched the ending to appease fans, bad editorial move, but good business move

2) They didnt give us huge clues and hints that this was the case and this then ruins the experience as we buy into a story thats something its not.

Lets wait and see
