Wow, first the main actress and her quips about the director, now the main actor and his quips about the sequel. Reardless of all the I love/hate movie debating....that speaks alot about the subject when the actors featured in the film themselves recognize something thats a little off.

I mean...wow, thats right up there with Harrison Ford demanding to read a "GOOD" script before he agreed to any more Indiana movies.

On a related note, I heard Bay announced that a lead human character will die, and stay dead. Hummm, maybe now we know the real reason why Johm M was casted for the thrid film. Tee hee.

Prowl: I like ROTF!
Skywarp: Man, screw you! That movie sucked and you are freakin moron for saying you liked it!
Autobot032: No, screw you for calling Prowl a "freaking moron" for his/her personal taste in movies!
Skyhopper: Man, i just really, REALLY dislike Topher Grace as an actor.
Terrible Terry Tate: YOU CAN'T MAKE A PASS AND TOUCH PABLO'S ASS! THATS OLD SCHOOL BABY! WOOOOOOO!
Megatron: Can i stay an airplane/tank thing rather than a gun? It makes air fare cheaper and i don't hafta have other Decepticons grope me in order to shoot my gun.
Optimus Prime: Ahhh crap...I wonder if they're gonna kill me in this next movie AGAIN.
Rodimus Prime: Dude, how the hell ya gonna have emo rock stars like Linkin Park be in the sound track without me in there setting the emo ambiance??? Wait, i know, i'm just not cut out for being an actor. They should just get someone else. /longingly hard, exhaustive sigh

Nah, you're just young. You'll understand the values of characterization and proper storytelling when you age. Right now you're easily satisfied with explosions, and that's okay.

I'm 27 and I loved it. I have no doubts the 3rd one will be better though. Believe it or not Bay listened to the criticisms of the first movie and improved it in RotF. More focus on the robots, better camera work, Optimus put up a fight. Plus there won't be a writer's strike this time rushing production.

Thats what Im saying. everything that people said he got wrong with the first one, he got right with the second, but everyone still hates it. No one is happy

He got a few things right, then made a complete mess of the rest of the film.
It was as if it had been written BY a child...it was just silly.

I see your point, we're not expecting Shakespeare, but that doesn't mean we should lower our standards, as has been pointed out, Marvel and DC are doin a great job translating their properties to the big screen. I think Hasbro dropped the ball with the GI Joe movie too so maybe its more a management thing. Lets see what happens with the 3rd one, lets see if they turn it round, coz its happenin whether people like it or not.
I think someone like Ridley Scott could make this into a real serious franchise, and add real menace to the Decepticons...(i think the human soldiers hurt them too much. It should take nothin short of a nuke to get rid of them.)
However, roll on 3 and lets see what we get.

Hell yeah, we need the guys who wrote GoW2 to write the next TFer movie. lol
