This figure has been talked about in the Siege thread, but I guess we can have a thread just for this figure specifically.

I was initially disappointed with him being small, but considered a leader due to his extra stuff. It's extra stuff that's completely unnecessary to both modes. He transforms into a space cannon just fine like he did in G1 without any of the extra stuff.

The more I've been playing around with him, the more the extra kibble has grown on me. Like you said, it can have many uses, it's all up to one's imagination. In cannon mode, I use the kibble with the figure, but in robot mode, the stuff stays separate. Shockwave looks better by himself. Besides, the way the shoulder pieces look, it looks like he's wearing an extra pair of legs, with an extra pair of arms sprouting out of them. But using them for a floating platform or even a drone like you said makes sense. It just sux that to put him back in the box all that crap has to be put back on him (even if it only takes like 10 seconds ).

Overall, the kibble doesn't bother me like it did at first, but I still don't think the figure is worth leader class price.

1) Shockwave - Mad Thinker Supreme in the Voyager scale we crave.

2) gun mode (using mass shifting) - pew pew!

3) security drone (or goblinglider, if u prefer) - he has shown his love for using drones, in the past. And the bot who trusts nobot needs a bodyguard. so why nit build one. One with multi-functions.

4) Battle armor - when the shizz gets heavy.

5) Warship (using mass shifting) - increases size/mass to become massive warship. No need to rely on others, finding transport, can get to anywhere off planet & can take his lab with him.

I justify his price just as much as others justify the prices of Iron Factory's figures. I find Shockwave to be great, and when I saw him in store, his size looks great. Turns out his gun mode can be better upgraded with his accessories to make it more comfortable to hold, and I love his combined mode. I will definitely get him, and I think others should too

The best part about this line, I think, is that they made it fun; from the weaponizers to the armor for the leaders, you're never told what to do with them (yes you can slap magnus' armor onto him in a very specific way that was intended, but you don't have too, and I think that'll shine even more once cybertron prime comes out) everything is left open-ended. You can combine weaponizers and accessories however you want with whomever you want (for the most part), and since it mostly relies on 5mm pegs and holes, it is not only backwards compatible, but also forwards compatible, which I think is the cleverest decision ever made by has/tak.

I can't wait for six-gun and brunt, and can honestly say that the weaponizers are my most anticipated figures for the rest of the year.
