The dino's didn't come along to the arctic. In the end it were Wheeljack and Sideswipe that freed Skyfire in 'Fire on the Mountain'.AxiomScion wrote:and here I keep picturing Jetfire being held by 5 ice cubes and a rampant refrigerator with a TF CogRaymond T. wrote:No, they kept telling themselves to remember and bring something to melt the ice next time. Contrary to popular believe, the Japanese continuity did not split off with HeadMasters, but split off earlier with the beginning of season 3.Unchrasimatic wrote:True, and Wheeljack came back from the dead in Victory. Maybe the Japanese have some secret resurection technology? Or it could just be terrible continuity, but thats boring!

When wouldn't he be? Skyfire didn't even die. We will never really know if that was Skyfire in "Dark Awakening", or just a Cybertronian jet that bore a striking resemblance to him. *shrugs*
EnerJolt wrote:What really ticked me off was the way they handled Skyfire's character; at first he's a reluctant participant who really wants to be a scientist, then's he's just a big guy who's just sent to drop Brawn off in Peru, even though Brawn is clearly outnumbered and outmatched. He then does some espionage, even though he himself admits he's too damn big.
Way to go, Sunbow.

Originally, Transformers the movie was not released in Japan until much much later. Instead, season three became 2010. Basically the same, but with some minor changes. Instead of the Movie, it would be based on the Scramble city mini-series. Unfortunately of the Scramble City cartoon, only one episode was really produced (With Scramble City 2 made up of animation with the actual toys and turned into a long commercial basically, to tie the ends somewhat).
Scramble City was supposed to give their own explainations of events of where Metroplex came from and how Roddy and Galvatron came to power. Little changes from this was for instance that Trypticon wasn't born in Five Faces of Darkness, but as the translated writing put it, was repaired from his fight in Scramble City with Metroplex. Without the movie, characters like Wheeljack had not died in the Japanese story version.

Please! Don't let it be so!

In newer series yes, but this is G1 they don't come back ever! Well, except for starscream and prime.
