I had a lot of fun working on this character! The requester knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it, all the way down to the weapons and provided good instruction and references. It was a lot of work, but so rewarding in the end. ^_^ I actually developed a bunch of new techniques while doing this image and I even saw new uses for Photoshop's pen tool! For example, anyone who's used the polygonal lasso tool in Photoshop on a Wacom probably knows about it automatically completing randomly. But did you know you can use the pen tool in almost the same way to create paths and selections?

Now I don't have to worry about the auto-finishes and my workflow is much smoother now. And you can use the control points to refine your selections.

Sorry, nerd moment. Okay, back to the character...

I really liked her idea of the T-visor and the colors. The cannon and that blade were cool too. As I was coloring the blade, I wanted to make sure it looked heated and then I thought "I really feel sorry for the poor bot that gets guttd with that thing, sheesh!

And she picked one of my favorite Lambo's as an alt mode, the Reventon! I'd almost be jealous if I hadn't recently fallen in love with the Aventador, my new favorite, but Smoke's alt's a limited edition, and therefore her cool factor is higher, LOL.

Faction: Decepticon
Role: Recon Commander, Hunter-killer Scout.
Alt Form: Lamborghini Reventón

Height: 20 feet (6.1 meters)
Weight: 2 tons (1.7 metric)

Appearance: Sleek black and gray frame, drawn tight at the waist, but has broad and armor-plated shoulders to match her long, armored legs - the car's doors forming the core of armored plates running from shoulder to elbow, and its flared tail-lights the tops of her armored 'boots.' She has long, retractable clawed fingers and the split halves of the headlight "frames" combine with the segmented windshield to form her chest armor, the grille and a tire on each side mark her hips, and her "collarbone" and upper chest incorporate segments of the hood. Her facial structure is almost human-esque, with cobalt blue eyes, but is usually concealed behind a full-face helmet with a dark blue metallic visor.

Voice: Sexy Italian-English accent, rich mezzo-alto, metallic undertones.

Personality: In two words, femme fatale. Smoke is as hedonistic, sensual and cruel as a cat or a social harpy, with a certain flair for the dramatic entrance and the seductive one-liner to back up her raw charisma. More than a few of her fellow Decepticons (and one or two Autobots, for that matter,) have found themselves first drawn to her, and then played off each other with consummate skill. For all that she enjoys a good flirt, though, she's a shrewd and extremely dangerous soldier with exquisitely honed stealth, speed and guile. Fast and agile, Smoke prefers to examine her enemies thoroughly before dropping her disguise and eliminating them as quickly and viciously as possible with a maximum of short-range firepower. She is, however, a little eccentric in one particular area - she seems to like and enjoy humans and human company. Not that it stops her from being perfectly willing to kill all of the little meatbags she needs to if push comes to shove - indeed, if anything, she seems to almost prefer killing her 'pets' herself. In spite of that slightly distasteful habit, however, she remains the go-to girl for Megatron and Shockwave when they need an area cased or a reconnaissance in force carried out. Her combination of competence, reliability and go-for-broke aggression is in short supply, after all, and that makes her an invaluable resource.

Jump Jets: 500 meter long-jump, 200 meter vertical range.
Chameleon Circuit: Allows alteration of exterior color and pattern, as well as reconfiguring internal space. Can provide limited 'distortion field' invisibility.
