I got them for Christmas of course. Now what you have to know is that I haven't seen these cartoons in about 17-20 years so I had forgotten so much. It was like rediscovering old friends. What I remembered...

-Tracks, Gears and Red Alert are great characters.
-Seaspray being a mermaid equals lame.
-Seaspray being a robot and trying to get it on with a mermaid equals terrifying
-Powerglide pisses me off
-Beachcomber REALLY pisses me off.

This was the best Christmas ever. Even though I woke up at 7:30 in the morning in dire pain. I had to go to the doctor (on Christmas, in case you forgot) just for him to tell me I had a kidney stone. Still though, I got Transformers.

Ah, Beachcomber. Deserted his friends in the middle of battle to go talk to animals. Capital offense, I believe?

I did that with Animated today. Though I started watching in the middle of season 1 and fell asleep around the middle of season 2.

It was also weird how mid-season 2 Soundwave was kind of phased out but Rumble was always there with Megatron. I wonder why they did that?

So I just watched every season 1 & 2 G1 episode in two days.

Ummmm, not to sound argumentative but I think your exaggerating the issue.

Soundwave was in 40 of the 49 episodes of season 2.And the 9 he wasnt in are spread out over the entire season not just in the middle of it.

And Rumble only seemed to replace Soundwave in about 2 or 3 of the 9 in question.

I think the last time I did something like that was about seven years ago, long before I was married and even longer before I became a father. I simply don't have enough time these days, even in the holiday season to do it again!

I got all four seasons and the film for christmas as well. Not really watched much yet, but later I'm watching The Ultimate Doom. So far my favourite is probably War of the Dinobots, because seeing Optimus get his ass kicked by Grimlock makes for awesome viewing.

I know tell me about it. The worst bit is, I have to keep the vast majority of my TF's in storage as we don't have much space either.

The only consolation I have is that my 2yr old son absolutely adores the '86 animated movie, thus he frequently asks to watch it on DVD.

I might do the same with Beast Wars since it's been a while since I saw the show.
