How about you guys , who would you like for the classics line to recreate? I really think they owe us Ironhide and Ratchet IMHO. The G1 versions looked nothing , like the cartoon or comic.

I really hope that they can keep the classics line going, because I dont want to have to rely upon Botcon for those characters , having to pay over 500$ for a set...sheesh

I'd like to see a few of the characters that either first appeared in the '86 movie, such as Kup, and some that died in the movie, like Brawn.

Its been confirmed. The Classics line will continue under the name Universe, in 2008. I believe they said Sunstreaker and Sideswipe were confirmed.

Wheeljack, don't know. They also said There would be a new Ultra Size and Price point for the Universe Lne. and a New combiner .

Sunstreaker and Sideswipe will not have the same chest, head or design. They look just as different in robot mode as their G1 selves.
Showed us Octane (triple changer): military tanker vehicle and looks like the gun ship from TF Movie that took out Scorponok.
Looking to add an ultra scale to Transformers Universe.
They are planning on doing a new Galvatron figure that is not a repaint of Megatron.

Funny thing is, they could easily work with the mold for WW Ultra Magnus from Titanium and make a KUP.

They could take the mold from Optimus the fire truck in Titanium and make Grapple and Inferno

There are several others that they could work with and remake the G1 characters. Problem is, they'll do it and make them botcon exclusives.....Im so going to botcon next year..and for now on... Ebay is absurd

no no. Hasbro confirmed the Universe line is a normal Market Release not a Botcon only line. They just said it at Botcon.

Its good news its going to be a mass produced line, like Classics 1.0 was.

well... we have an entire year to wait and save up. i think most of the ones you listed will be pulled off. wheeljack im not sure about, unless they use the skeletal joints and such and just retool the outside of the sunstreaker mold. they wanna use molds over and over, so i think prowl and the repaints he represents are a sure bet. ironhide and ratchet as well with a possibility of skids being a repaint. i really wanted a redesigned huffer. repainted armorhide just doesnt do it for me. red alert would make an appearance. reflector would be a nice change, as three clones that connect with interchangable pieces. basically though, id like to see the original ark and nemesis crews redone. everything else would just be icing.

Very curious about Octane. Especially the size. Larger than a deluxe I would hope.

Would like to see a few repaints myself such as Energon Divebomb as Banzai-tron or Cybertron Clocker as Hot Rod. Why not? We have 2 Megatrons and Primes in the Classics line already.

The movie basic Strongarm will do as the Roadbuster repaint I've been wanting.

Oh repaint Movie Line Wreckage as Bludgeon.

I'd love for them to make a Blitzwing...that would sweet!

Brawn, Roadbuster, Springer, Ironhide, and Octane would all be sweet. I'd really like to see Broadside, too, but change his battleship mode into some kind of smaller, more believable boat. I hope the Botcon Springer isn't the only way we'll see him in plastic for a while.

Unlikely. We got him in Energon, and there's been no word on him being in Classics. YET

No idea. They have the name, and he's not in Animated, so maybe. Just don't hold your breath

Hasbro are gonna bleed this money well dry. Expect everything that Hasbro can land the name rights on to appear in 2.0. 1.0 sold very well, so Hasbro has decided to play the field. Which is good for us!

Personally, I'd love to see good ol Blaster make a return with Steeljaw and Ramhorn. And why not Eject and Rewind as a minicon-style 'booster pack'?

Also, can anyone that saw 2.0 previews confirm something for me? Firstly, did you see Classics 2.0 prototypes? And if you did, I am an avid fan of G1 Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, and Jazz. Considering I love their G1 designs a lot, how happy will I be with the 2.0 renditions of them?

I just wish Dirge hadn't been that damn Botcon exclusive. I would love to see a general release of my second-favorite seeker.

I'd also like to see them rework that titanium Shockwave that we aren't gonna get into a figure for UniClassics.

Although I'm not sure for which line. Hopefully the Classics 2.0 Ultra size. Any way a real updated BLITZWING is just COOOL.

Blitzwing is part of Transformers: Animated.

Octane is part of Transformers: Universe.

Also, it was stated that Blitzwing is going to have split personalities as part of the explanation of why he has two alt modes.

Interesting to hear Hasbro announce that they're making a new toy of Octane when Jizaitoysis about halfway through making one too.

I am a Sideswipe G1 mold fan (Tigertracks is the yellow version of Sideswipe, the one that's not Sunstreaker), and I think from what we saw (car renditions, and figure molding I believe), that you will be happy with them. Very happy...

Well, since they said they want to re-use molds, than I see no reason why they won't make:

Ironhide/Ratchet
Prowl, Bluestreak (Silverstreak), Smokescreen
Sideswips, Sunstreaker, Red Alert

I hope they make a Jazz, and a Wheeljack.

I REALLY hope we get more Decepticons. A new kind of Soundwave, with smaller minions, maybe? But this line is definitely in need of more baddies to even out the line at least a little.

well they could do Stunticons for the combiner, never been done before, possible to reuse some of the molds for some parts and would help even out the sides.

As previously stated, expect to see characters whose molds can be repainted into other characters attributable from G1.

Wheeljack, for these reasons, is unlikely. Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and probably at least one of the other eight Countaches will be likely. If an Ironhide is created, a Ratchet is likely.

Galvatron and Octane have been confirmed for Decepticons.

There were EIGHT Contache's??? All I can remember are 3. What were the other 5?

Here's an idea for stunticons.....use and rework the molds for SideSwipe, Sunstreaker, Jazz and make a mold for tracks...use it for tracks, ..dead end , and with those guys, im sure eventually a botcon Runabout and Runamuck will happen if not for mass production.

I dont know about you guys but i'd be more than happy with a reworking of sunstreaker's mold to make wheeljack. These guys dont have to be the exact same car as they were in G1.. just close enough to know who they are.

But as far as decepticons .. here's what I want to see

Okay, I'm going to try to be really gentle hear. Hasbro clearly stated that anything that is released in Transformers: Animated WILL NOT be released in Transformers: Universe (Classics 2.0).

So because we have Blitzwing in Animated, we WILL NOT get one in Universe.

The same goes for Dinobots. Grimlock will have 2 more Dinobots accompanying him in Animated. So whichever two they use, will be off limits in regards to Universe.

However, that does not mean that they will not release the other two in Universe to accompany Classics Grimlock. So the Dinobots could be done like this:

Classics:

Grimlock
Sludge (Universe)
Snarl (Universe)

Animated:

Grimlock
Slag
Swoop

Now this isn't the way that they are scheduled to release, but merely an example of how Hasbro can release all the Dinobots, but still stick to what they stated at Botcon.

I do remember reading that in another thread. I was just going on who I'd personally wish to see. I really doubt the new cartoon will make it past 4 seasons so maybe here in 5 years we'll see some of these guys , somehow.

Who knows, maybe some of the animated characters will resemble the old G1 characters enough that the toy will make us happy. And Yes I know the new cartoon is going to look more like Teen Titans which looks really messed up for transformers, but hey, if somehow we're lucky enough to get blitzwing to resemble the old G1 character in some fashion, its better than nothing right?

I think you should be happy. They showed design animation for him, and he looked good. Tank, jet, and robot... and a very similar robot mode to his G1 self... It will be more stylized than a CLASSIC version, but it should still be very cool!

For the combiner I would love to a classic redo someone like trainbots who were only avaliable in japan. Also If just talking classic in the general sense I would love to see them do some of the headmasters,victory and master force figures as classics.
