What's up guys, I'm pretty sure you've seen threads like this, but since I don't see one active allow me to ask a couple questions to you.

.How long have you been collecting Transformers?
.Do you have a favorite, or specific line you collect?
.Do you buy multiples of one figure, to display him in various ways? (IE. In his box, alt mode, or robot mode?)
.Do you keep them in their boxes? And if not, do you at least keep the boxes?
.Do you buy knock offs? Or do you stick with Takara/Hasbro figures? (Addons don't qualify as KO.)
.How do you display your collection? Do you use display cases? Shelves? Desk space? Ect.
.If you have any vintage Transformers, do have them displayed? Or do you keep them packed away somewhere?
.Where do you buy most of your Transformers? Online, at a store?

.How long have you been collecting Transformers? 17 years
.Do you have a favorite, or specific line you collect? not really, though I'm currently trying to complete ROTF and Animated series.
.Do you buy multiples of one figure, to display him in various ways? (IE. In his box, alt mode, or robot mode?) Only those that I really like.
.Do you keep them in their boxes? And if not, do you at least keep the boxes? I open most of my figures except the reissues and exclusives. No, I don't keep the boxes of those that I open.
.Do you buy knock offs? Or do you stick with Takara/Hasbro figures? (Addons don't qualify as KO.) Unique colored KOs, but not the KOs that are produced to imitate as real ones.
.How do you display your collection? Do you use display cases? Shelves? Desk space? Ect. Bookcases with glass doors, display cases...etc.
.If you have any vintage Transformers, do have them displayed? Or do you keep them packed away somewhere? Displayed (G1...etc).
.Where do you buy most of your Transformers? Online, at a store? A mix of both, but mostly in-stores if possible, Japan exlusives are bought online.
.What are some other things you collect? Star Wars, Simpsons, Vinyl figures...etc

--I grew up with G1, but only started collecting with ROTF.

--I'm trying to get all the ROTF, but each line has awesome figures.

--I do buy multiples. One to keep MISB and one to "display" (play with! )
.Do you keep them in their boxes? And if not, do you at least keep the boxes?
--Even if I do open them, I keep the boxes. Hell, I even keep the elastics and twist ties. Yeah, I know, I'm a nerd.

--Nope, not yet. I want to get the originals first!

--Nope. All my childhood ones are long gone.

--99% in stores, to find the best MISB, but I did buy a SDCC Soundwave online.

--Comic Books, and a few ROC G.I.Joe figures.

Mostly G1 and Beast Wars (and the Vehicons from Machines) at first, now I'm into the movies and Cybertron/Galaxy Force

Generally not. I do have a couple duplicates, one MISB and the other to display/play with, but to do it in any real bulk is too rich for my blood.

I actually cut up my G1 boxes to hang the art on my walls when I was young; they're all long gone now, natch. Now, aside from toys I'm specifically keeping MISB, I pitch the boxes; I just don't have the room to keep them.

Only in rare cases. I have a KO Bruticus I repainted in G1 colors, and a Rattrap I repainted to be show-accurate.

Aside from BW Rampage, some other non-show BW, and Beast Machines toys I haven't dug out yet, everything's either on display or being worked on.

About 50% of my G1 collection, 90% of my BW/BM collection, and 80% of my 2007/ROTF collection (so far) are store bought, everything else is eBay.

Plastic models. If they were real (and all of them were built), I'd have the world's fifth largest air force.
I also have a DVD collection that stretches across five 208 wallets and one 512 wallet.

A: 3 years now.

A: G1 and Classics. Some movie and Animated. A few others here and there, but no Beast Wars (yet)

A: No.

Only a handful I've kept in their boxes. G2 Cyberjets I've kept carded after I found them at a comic book store.

A: Not anymore. When I first started collecting, KOs were the most accessible way for me to enjoy the G1 combiners, but they only managed to wet my palate. I've since given all my KOs to a friend, and now I'm close to completing my collection of G1 Scramble City Combiners. All that's left is Predaking.

A: One set of shelves. My display is pretty tidy.

A: My childhood toys are mostly in the garage, because honestly, there's no better place for them at the moment. But the ones I've bought in the past couple of years are on the top shelf of my display.

A: I like driving to the store, it gives me something to do. I shop online when I'm looking for deals.

A: Video Games. Records (45s, LPs) - mostly punk rock stuff. You could probably label me an obscurist.
