SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Acts) is back again. If it passes, all fanart, fanfiction and fan-made videos could be considered "piracy" and removed.

False alarm. I looked into it a little (which you all should), and while the actual bill is not returning, parts of it do show up in the Notice and Staydown bill.

Put short, all fan-created works are safe as they legally fall under fair use (just don't make money off of them, ok?). But when someone issues a claim, the hosting site is required to take down the item in question and banning it. Unless it's altered to an acceptable degree, it can't be re-uploaded.

So yeah, I say some people are too easily scared...
