It's pretty good, I watched both a sub with subtitles, and the dub. Pretty good, had some 80s charm and overall well (I just finished watching episode 4, poor prime :< Blaster's cassettes were pretty depressing as well after his temporary demise)

The series gets better as it goes on, I think. Some cool characters come and go pretty quickly (Monsterbots, Duocons), but the core cast carry the show.

I can't help it, I crack up at the dub. It's not the accents, it's just the rhythm of speech and the nonsense that is used as filler.

It's a great series... I hope you enjoy it. ^_^

Yeah, ignore anyone who tells you it's a terrible show, otherwise we'd all have to say that G1 was terrible since The Headmasters is better than G1.

Though, if you're watching the Omni dub, am I to assume that you have either the Metrodome or Madman DVDs instead of the Shout! Factory DVDs?

I'm watching it on youtube actually, watched the first 3 on one channel, discovered dubbed versions for 4 and 5 on the other.

Also, Cyclonus is an idiot. Like, moreso that Miko. Miko hit that Vehicon with the rock at least, Cyclonus just bonked Galvatron on the head with it. Also the headmaster swapping was a pretty neat twist in this episode, still no sign of scorpinok though...

Wait, so you're just watching some subbed and some dubbed, instead of all subbed and all dubbed? That's not exactly a wise idea. The dub is so terrible for its weirdness, yes, but it also leaves out some plot points that were in the sub.

You'd best be watching the sub only. This playlist has all episodes subbed by TV-Nihon. - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1756DDF1830F5207

Some things take a lot of time in this show and it gets slow at times. Once Scorpy shows, it's no biggie, but as the show progresses... Well, let's just say that he's the number 1 most evil cartoon decepticon ever. He turns out to be a complete monster.

For the hell of it, follow this series up with Masterforce. It's better.

I was pissed they released the series on DVD with subs. I hate subs. I'll take a bad dub or a sub.

Why do you hate subs? Subs are the best and ONLY way to watch this show.

HM is easily my favourite of the three "Takara" shows, definitely a little slow to get going, but awesome when it does. Love the way that the animation is so consistent, shame the same can't be said about it's US counterpart!
