It would be fun to get to know some different characters into the know.

Wrong, Chun Li and Charlie Nash have more connections to Shadowlaw than either Ryu or Ken. So the first one starts off with her. The sequel will be Ryu and Ken. Based on the Street Fighter 1 1987 video game. The third one will be based on the Street Fighter 2 1991 video game. KK, she said in the interview that she will not be in the sequel but possibly in the third installment. So there's a hint for you.

Of course, I am wrong, they HAVE to be going by being faithful the previous materials don't they? Michael Bay disagrees with that.

The story is outside of canon for the games, if but for nothing other than Gen should be 70 or 80 years old and not 25.

Its a gimick. Hot chick from small thats hot. In a martial arts movie and shes hot. Using the the whole street fighter thing as a backbone to get people to see it because her being hot may not be enough.

Thanks, I've realized I messed up on her name. Gen is around 50 years old in this.

Robin Shou(the actor playing Gen) is 48, and they added tons of make up onto him. He definitely looks older then 25

This movie will be bad.

It's not like I let critics dictate what I enjoy, but I've not read one favorable review...sounds like it is even poor by kung-fu movie standards.

I wouldn't be so quick to listen to creators' claiming it to be setting up the Street Fighter saga. From what I've read, they've displayed very little respect for the source material as it is.

I really can't think of a movie he's been in that's been bad, so I guess I have to agree with you. Even in Daredevil he was awesome, granted I'm one of like two people that think Daredevil was a good movie, but he was still good in it.

Funny though, to make a good Street Fighter movie all they really had to do was remake Bloodsport, change a couple names, paint some dude green. Yet they failed, miserably.

That movie is still badass to the nth degree, especially the fight with Bison and KMFDM blasting during when Chun-Li is fighting Vega. I think I may dig it out and watch it actually.

Incidentally, I've never been able to stomach seeing the names of the bosses switched back to their original positions. Having Vega named Balrog just doesn't work for me.

I perfer the Street Fight II V tv series to the animated movie (which is awesome).

I like that guy, too, but not enough to pony up the cash.

Besides, to me the main character of SF is Ryu, however interesting or important the others may be.

The only good thing about it, as a friend of mine so eloquently put it, is that it features Kylie Minogue in a swimsuit pretending to be a commando.

So I just got back from seeing the movie. Went to the 10:10 showing, theater had a whopping 15 people in it including myself and friends.

Needless to say, the movie was as bad as I thought it would be.

Going into the film with already low hopes, I was still let down by this film.

It was, for lack of a better term. Crap.

The acting was horrible, very very very HORRIBLE, Katrina horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if peoples homes were devastated and lives lost after seeing this film. The dialogue was stiff as a brick, sounding forced and utterly ridiculous.

Michael Clark Duncan lines were usually cut off and very crappy.

The action was retarded, the fight scenes very lack luster.

The plot was just as horrid and cliche as the acting.

The special effects looked like they were from 2002.

Then there was the editing. Dear god the editing. I've done better editing in high-school. Hell, Stevie Wonder could have done a better job at editing.

This movie was horrible. If myself and everyone else in the theater save for two douchebags sitting in front of us weren't making fun of the movie and just laughing our asses off at how retarded it was. I would have shot someone.

Ok it was a wasted opportunity. I was wrong in having such high hopes for it. So much for the two other sequels. The reviews at imdb and rotten tomatoes were pitiful for SF Legend of Chun Li. It wouldn't surpirse me if Dragon Ball,Bay's TF, and G.I Joe Rise of Cobra turn out the same way. But I think the Wolverine Xmen side story movie looks more promising along with Terminator.

Dragon Ball is almost certain to bomb. I mean...come on, does anyone here expect a movie based on that franchise to do well? TF most likely won't, given the fact that the first one, despite negative reviewes from some critics and the surprisingly still hardcore hate from the Geewuners who still don't get it, made a lot of money.

As for GI Joe...we'll wait and see. Personally, I feel it's too early to tell.

Dragonball is a hard one. I think it'll bomb, but it'll be one of those movies you take friends along with to make fun of the movie.

Transformers 2 will just be more of the same cliche sci-fi film. (Insert Threat Here) invades Earth and threatens to wipe out all of humanity unless (Insert Hero(s) Here) can stop them. Like ID4 and so many other movies before it.

And it's not that I hate the movies, it's just not a transformers movie. Kinda like how Super Mario Bros wasn't an actual Super Mario Bros movie.

GI Joe has a chance to either be awesome, or fail miserably. I'll have to wait to see more trailers on it.
