If I were a fan of the character, that wouldn't be a deal breaker, I'm just curious.

I'd say they're shorter than they are in that scene, but who's to say overall?

Who all here would rather they broomed the mini-figures and gave the dinobots their "Energo" swords?

or at least some cool flame effects.

That's true, he was known for his flame breath. Would have probably cost Hasbro less than an extra fig and be something the fans actually would have appreciated.

I said this same thing...
At least a couple different flame (“blast”) effects could’ve been made instead of the Wheelie or Daniel figures.
Not to mention, between the 5 Dinobots (assuming they are all getting made), could’ve shared at least a few of them, even if they weren’t repainted.
Not that it costs that much, but the pegs on the Dinobots dinosaur torsos & shoulders could’ve been omitted.
The more I’ve thought about it, the more I would’ve been in favor of this option over swords...
Leave the sword game to 3P.
I hope Hastak is starting to realize that people don’t want “cute, little gimmicks” that are half-a$$ed...
We either want something done well, or something different all-together that is done well.
Nuclearxpotato wrote:I wouldn't really classify the minifigures as "Gimmicks", they're really just filler. Maybe if they had actual articulation or were more than an accessory for one pose they could be good. They don't even have to be able to transform, they just need to stand neutrally.
Gauntlet101010 wrote:Wheelie and Daniel may as well not exist. I kinda get what they wanted to go for there. But. A figure like that just isn't even worth making.
Nuclearxpotato wrote:I'm holding out hope that they'll do Toy versions of the Dinobots. I missed Grimlock my two chances, and Slug does not appeal to me. So I'm gamblin' big. They could use the budgets of the excluded minifigures on paint, swords, or just generally making it easier to produce. The Dinobots sell well, so doing Toy decos as Selects / exclusives isn't exactly a risk.
The only Cartoon deco that I like is Swoop, so I'll probably end up with him.

Not sure if I want him to go with my alicon or if I should save my wallet some pain and stick with alicon
Also he said it! Confirmed! Something along the lines of "gnaw didn't have the gun in the movie but we wanted to make sure he had it"
Swoop better come with 5 swords lol
Munkky wrote:I'm quite surprised at how little was actually announced here, I was hoping for a first look at Jolt and Grindor, but surely they can't be too far off seeing as they're supposedly in the same wave as the three 1986 figures. I'm definitely getting Slug, but the other two I'll more than likely skip.
