Finally snagged the only Mixmaster at the Wal Mart near me. They had a bunch of Scrappers, Bonecrushers, Excelions, Sidways, and two Constructicon 2-packs. There was only one Mixmaster which I spotted amongst the scrappers. Mixmaster's top hood caught my eye and I knew it was him. Just need Scavenger to complete the set.

I'm surprised people are find Mixmaster with all the Ques clogging the shelves. >:oP

My local Walmart finally started to slowly populate the big collector display, but the only Transformers on it are two boxes of the Commander Constructicons. They did have a ton of Sideways in the Transformers section, but no Excelions, guess they're in solid cases.

I've scoured all Walmarts within a reasonable distance from my house, no Mixmaster anywhere. I hope I don't have to actually wait until October for BBTS to send him. All those Walmarts did have Excellions and Sideways galore. Still wondering if the Constructicon 2-pack means eventually Magnus will also arrive. Or another run of Optimus?

I'm really liking these guys so far. I just opened Hook and Long Haul. I think they're great. I like how they handled Long Haul's handheld blaster to give it two colors (and would love to see more of that please). I wish there had been a way to better handle Long Haul's truck bed/legs but he looks great in robot mode (though not a fan of the smokestack pegs). Hook looks great and he feels very "weighty". I like how they did his legs but it would have been great to have the legs flip around so that his legs could also be like his G1 toy if you prefer that look. Glad that his crane can extend and has an actual hook instead of whatever his Combiner Wars crane hook was.

As much as I like these two figures ... I gotta say that I'm really annoyed at something I can't unsee ... and that's the fake tires on his arms. Why would the toy's designer think fake wheels was a good look? I would rather have just had the tires be the way they were and then the "green" arms should have just been robot parts instead of fake tires. Even if it was painted, it would have looked bad because of the elbow joint. Just irks me on an otherwise fantastic update over their Combiner Wars figures.

Scrapper and Bonecrusher, especially the Unite Warriors versions, still seem superior to me over their Studio Series 86 versions.

I got some of the most recent wave, and have thoughts.

Widow maker feels like an older movie toy, and is wonderful, I am so glad they made her, and made her well.

Elita-1 is underwhelming, her chest just will not connect. I hate to say it, but outside of B-127, SS really disappointed with the main 4 from TFOne.

The A-level around here are clogging up the works, though they keep slipping in the new waves. I saw the entire Widow Maker wave, and with the exception of Starscream have them all now.

I can't find the photo now but somebody on Reddit figured out that Long Haul's gun breaks down into two pieces because it's meant to form an exhaust pipe and something else on the vehicle mode.

They wouldn't be any bigger, so they'd just be a couple of "tall Voyager"-sized figures taking up so little space in mostly empty Commander class boxes.

Do not forget that a "Commander" Galvatron and Megatron would have had to include a ton of fluff and useless just to compensate the Commander price. It would have been worse than the crash-out Rodimus Prime's trailer had caused.

Hmm, you know, Megatron coming with his stock and silencer to combine with his Fusion Cannon to create the big cannon weapon of his G1 toy (even if he himself still couldn't actually turn into a gun) would be a cool accessory to fill out a Commander version.

Bonus points if the Tank was allowed to turn into a "submarine" à la Shockwave's wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

What I mean is Shockwave's "submarine mode" is his G1 gun mode with 99% accuracy. They could have done the same with Megatron. Maybe add a safely orange cap that get revealed only for this mode, just to be sure.

A shame that Meg's G1 gun mode is... well... a real gun.

There's no reason for either Megs or Galvatron to be Commander, I'd sooner see the need for Octane being Commander over those two simply to see both alt modes done right. But even then I feel something extra would need to be included, like Wheelie with Grimlock type of offering. I've pretty much moved past teh days of a Commander being Skyfire type of offering so it's now expected that that SKU will now consists of Leaders with extra baggage such as trailer like Rodimus and Optimus has turned into ultimate versions of themselves. Or in the case of UM fully combining with said trailer. And now the likes of Combiners being a Leader or two voyagers with a added exoskeleton. So I think it could very well incorporate a more complex transformation such as triple changers. Though I'm still not quite on board with paying $90 for what amounts to a Leader bot and not visually seeing where that other $40 is going. Now $35 with the new Leader price. That's basically a Voyager slot and I don't see Hasbro including a Voyager class bot in with it. lol
