After looking at the pictures of Rumble, I'm pretty impressed by how close they've managed to match the red for the Masterpiece version to that of the G1 toy. IIRC, G1 Rumble's red plastic had a semi-translucent look to it despite it being a solid plastic mix - the new Rumble managed to capture this.

This toy is so bought. Debating whether or not to buy Frenzy/Buzzsaw and plop down another $60 for a gold version of Laserbeak and a blue version of Rumble.

Oh, wallet so broken...

Also, a little ditty I found somewhere that sums up my feelings on RIBFIR:

Rumble is blue,

Frenzy is red.

Actually, you know who IS dead? Frenzy. He died in the final issue of regular Marvel continuity, G2#12, and did do heroically against the Swarm, overexerting his UNIQUE SONIC POWER until he crumbled to dust. And the Frenzy that did all that was blue, and endearing, which is something I can't recall red-Frenzy ever being; he just had a copy of Rumble's powers and no unique character traits. The actual argument seems to be "Rumble is blue, and...was there another cassette guy in the cartoon? I guess whoever that was gets red by default". I, on the other hand, care about Frenzy, therefore he is blue. Hell, red Rumble was cooler too, since he had more options for creating earthquakes: the piledrivers, standing there and sending vibrations through his legs, or jumping up and down like a gooney-man!

And, I'll say it as many times as I have to, if official fiction would just acknowledge them having exo-chroma-image-inducers that let them change back and forth between the two color schemes, then everyone's happy!

Unless of course you go by the live action movies, in which case Rumble doesn't exist and Frenzy is silver.

It doesn't matter. Some fans, myself included, will buy ANY cassette repaint, in hopes of getting reissues of the 4 combiner pair, and new Masterpiece sculpts of all the original G1 cassettes beyond these redos of the 3 Microchange designs.

No disrespect to your post, X, but the same people that purchased the Takara version would have had an inkling that Hasbro would be releasing one ( i would like a Hasbro version and i have the TT) Those who haven't purchased the Takara version, along with the scalpers etc will be on TRU's case. Im basing that statement on the fact that I live in Miami where we have many TRU's. I actually had an MP-10 Prime in my hands about 3 times, just no need to buy it. But I must say I hate scalpers. These are the guys that cant earn enough flipping burgers so they turn to desperate measures to make an extra $20-30 selling MP figures on e-bay. And they spend a half of what they make in gas money driving around to different locations buying these things up. What chumps... :BANG_HEAD:

I think we're talking exclusively Frenzy and Ravage. Not Soundwave and other friends. So....
