AmiAmi will be my first go at ordering direct from Japan. I put G2 Bee on pre-order to be a test to see how it goes. Now I have 3 more things on pre-order with them. Gonna be a big test.
All you US residents, has customs been an issue? If they snag a package do they just charge you import tariffs? Just not sure what to expect.

I've been experimenting with HLJ the last 6 months. So far so good - no customs snags at all. It get's delivered straight to my door.

Tried Big In Japan for Tracks - ordered 1. It was $55 shipped. Not bad.

Trying Anime Export for RR - ordered 2. Shipping estimates are nuts. It probably will cost $90 total inclusive of shipping, which is an amazing deal. Might do more with these guys.

AmiAmi puts me off due to the monthly shipping system; it makes me nervous for some reason.

Maybe it's just that I don't understand how it works. My impression is, yes, it functions similarly to POL, except at the end of the month it will auto-ship everything in said POL. At BBTS, you have 6 months or so before someone contacts you and says "you really outta ship this now." From what I understand, with AmiAmi, it all just ships at the top of the month.

People should feel free to correct me on that.

I see why this might make you nervous. I have Legends Magnus, due in mid-Sep. and Tracks late Sep. If tracks doesn't make it in on time the order could be split and I pay twice for shipping.

Amiami doesn't do a POL like bbts. And yes, releases do get altered but you can still adjust it if you want to combine them. Unlike RK (which doesn't email you that they have shipped your item as I had to email them for confirmation that they shipped my Plat Ed Seekers)Amiami tells informs you via email that the stock is available and gives you a week in advance to pay. They kind of frown on cancellations though.

The car mode looks great!

Im having a hard time convinving my eyes to see and believe this looks like a "female" robot. Its just not there... the rounder thighs and arms just dont do enough, it looks more like a teenage transformer. I believe woman come in all shapes and sizes, and yes even robots, but this just does not look enough like a female... a total missed opportunity...

I will buy it though, mainly because I want to encourage Takara to make more female masterpieces, and have a stronger representation of strong female characteres in the transformers universe. I plan to display Road Rage in car mode alongside the "fembots" Arcee, windblade and chromia standing by it...

That is a damn fine shade of red. I have no connection to Tracks or Road Rage, but now I want Road Rage.

I believe she's the Milton Bradley version of Tracks over in Europe during G1 days.
