Hello everyone! I saw the movie again for the 5 or 6 time(im not sure) and i noticed something the bots,they seemed to remind me of the beast wars bots.....

here's what i thought.....

Optimus Prime--Optimus Primal(of course)
Bumblebee--Cheetor
Jazz--Rattrap
Ironhide--Dinobot
Ratchet--Rhinox

Megatron--Megatron(of course)
Starscream--Terrorsaur
Scorponok--Scorponok(of course)
Barricade--Tarantulas
Blackout--Inferno
Brawl/Devastator--Rampage
Bonecrusher--Quickstrike
Frenzy--Waspinator

Even when i look at some of the characteristics of the toys i see these characters. I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed this.And if this was maybe done on purpose.

I think you'll find it's pretty much a format they've followed with in all non-G1 series.

Ya I have noticed that to.

Bay seems to want to stay away from G1 designs as much as possible. So he'd have to pick up designs from other series. I think you got a good observation there.

Interesting though, look at the similarity between BW characters & G1 characters.

Primal - Prime
Cheetor - Bumblebee
Rattrap - Clifjumper/Bumblebee/Jazz
Dinobot - Grimlock/Ironhide
Rhinox - Ratchet

Megatron - Megatron
Terrorsaur - Starscream
Scorponok - Ravage
Waspinator - Frenzy
Inferno & Quickstrike - Skywarp & Thundercracker (I dont know which personality is which so I just assigned them both)


I couldn't think of one for Tarantulus or Rampage, because I don't know G1 as well as Beast Wars & cant call personalities from memory for them.
You can do the same for nearly all the BW characters, and probably for Armada, RiD, Headmasters, Victory, Animated & any other non G1 series.
