That One Series

Does anyone have that one certain series that holds that special place in your heart, regardless of objective quality? It could be the most flawed, poorly written, animation-error riddled piece of trash in the world but you still love it to pieces? Because that's how I feel about Transformers Armada, and maybe Cybertron and to a far lesser degree, Energon. Armada is poorly made, the dub was rushed and mixes up character names, the animation is poor at worst and mediocre at best, the pacing only picks up in the second half, characterization is unwieldy and given a backseat...but it still occupies that little chamber where every time I see something from it I get a little flutter and smile a little. And I was wondering does anyone else have a particular TF series or iteration that, while it might not be generally well made, still gives you the warm n fuzzies. I'm interested to hear what people say.

I have such a series, well two actually. Super God Masterforce and Victory (Headmasters is okay). Victory more so then Masterforce, whenever I hear the intro I can't help but smile. Yes they have their flaws, I'm not blind to them. However I still love the shows and the designs, if it were possible I would of voted for MP Star Saber. So say what you want about Japans own answer to G1, I'll watch them regardless :)

I also like Energon, though more for the toys then the cartoon, which as I saw it, could of been so much more.

Hmm...I guess I'd have to go with G1, the original series from '84. I won't go into details, we know the errors and other problems with it, and it basically being a 22-minute toy commercial. I do think Energon and Cybertron are waaay sub-par (though Super-Link and Galaxy Force were great!) and I don't even like Beast Machines story-wise, despite a pretty decent animation. But these latter shows I never felt any special connection to. I watched them once, and never again. G1, though, I can watch over and over again, knowing exactly what will happen, and still enjoy it like I did when I was 6.

Well this is hard. Transformers: Generation 1, Cybertron, and Armada are my top three. It's just hard to decide among them.

I'm sorry but this has to be the most ridiculous statement of all Seibertron history.

Guilty pleasure series? Easy: Robots in Disguise (2001). Typical Saban anime dub treatment yet I can't help but find things to love about it.

G1 is my favorite probably because I grew up with it,and it's the first. Right now,I really enjoy the Movieverse.I thought Prime was excellent, and I have high hopes for the new RID.
