Anyone remember his "pose"? I can understand why some people had problems with him, but I always enjoyed him. Maybe it was because he let me drag his face over rocks in one of hte buildings.

Morph got banned years ago as far as I know he still is and can stay banned.

If I remeber correctly, Morph got banned after telling another poster, Roy Focker, to commit suicide, then bragging about it. I never really understood the whole Dr Spengler thing, just that he and some of the other posters that were associated with STFU, whatever that was, had a falling out with Ryan, and Bans ensued.

STFU was a group of trolls who flamed people for no apparent reason. To the best of my recollection Morph was one of them. Also Tallmook and Spengler. Reading this I find myself chuckling because I lost my mod post because of those guys. because I wouldn't put up with their ****, and Ryan thought I wasn't "handling them right" so instead he did like Europe did with Hitler and appeased them instead of backing me up when I put the smack down on them.

Now there's a name I've not heard in a long, long time.

STFU was, from what I remember, a group that was never exactly on good terms with Ryan. They had they're own forum which was invite-only, and most, if not all of them, ended up getting banned. I don't remember most of the specifics.

Here's a name: Abrogate. One of, if not the first person to reach a 10,000 post count. He left right after that, then, if I recall, came back, only to be banned. I don't remember if that was ever lifted, but he hasn't been seen since.

I think that he did get unbanned. He came back right after the whole STFU thing went down, and was apparently guilty by association, but it got settled. Then he left again. If memory serves. It's to bad, he was always really helpful with any and all TF related questions.

I wasn't "talking bad" just stating facts. If you're talking about Ryan, I wasn't aware that he was absent. Either way it doesn't make a difference. If you're talking about the STFU guys, they wouldn't know the meaning of "courtesy" if you beat them over the head with a dictionary.

I enjoyed my nightly battle of wits with Negare...she was from New Zealand if I'm not mistaken, and always found her way on the boards when it was 3-4 in the morning here in the U.S. and the place was deserted except for myself and a few other stragglers. We always got into good discussion over the span of a few threads (whether they qualified as spam or not, who knew) and I always left with having learned something new. So...has anyone seen her post lately?

Just to put it into perspective, some members of that gang's beef was mainly with Ryan ripping them off after being active, supporting members of this online community. It'd seem that Ryan got in over his head with the Dreamwave Transformer comics package deals he offered and either became late with shipping or just plain never sent the comics to some of them. You'd be a bit peeved too if you never recieved something you purchased from someone you deemed trustworthy only to be banned if you griped about it or demanded a refund. That's where some of the hostility came from. Other times it was just for kicks, making fun of people who were easily pissed off and couldn't take a joke (Bombshell and Belphegor comes to mind.)

Vic/Abrogate's situation was he was deemed guilty simply due to association with the STFU guys. Which doesn't make sense because I was never banned and was also associated with them. When he was banned it simply gave him the proof he needed he didn't want to post here anymore. Kind of a shame because he was and still remains a very knowledgeable TF enthusiast who was a pillar of this online community back in the day.

Yeah, I remember some of the posters being upset because they felt they were ripped off about something, might have been that. They really got banned just for asking for a refund? The one incedent I remember, (the only names I can remember are Dr. Spengler and Bluestreak) the posters in question were really flaming Ryan, if I remember correctly.

Well, I can't really sit here and defend what Spengs did but I'm sure something Zaku did must have not sat right with him. Generally though, I see what we did being no more different than how it is on any other forum on the 'net; where the new jacks are under scrutiny from the old heads. I know I didn't go out of my way to get on everyone's case but if someone said something I felt was unintelligent I made sure to sound off about it.
