The Best Transformer That Survived Your Childhood

I was working on the G1 portion of my toy cleanig rotation today and it got me thinking. What is the best Transformer that you had when you were younger that you still have today? What is the best toy you still have that survived simulated battles in your bedroom or the back yard that is still in great shape with most (if not all) of the accessories still accounted for?

For me, it's G1 Metroplex. I still remember it fondly as the biggest and best Transformer I ever had when I was a kid. It was also one of the best Christmas presents I ever got. Just today, I was marveling over how great it still looked and it reminded me of all the fun I used to have. The only parts I ever lost were the two small guns, the back piece for Sixgun, and two of the missiles. Those pieces have since been replaced, of course, along with the broken Scammper, and it stands proudly as one of my favorite pieces in my collection to this very day.
The Harbinger of Jell-O Puddin' Pops!

I honestly have very little left from my childhood (mom wants to clean + me at Boy Scout camp = Yard Sale of Doom!) All I have left are 1: a Sharkticon tail 2: Rodimus Prime yellow crest and 3: a near perfect Pretender Starscream (robot only). The Starscream (according to Jim Gallo of Toy Heaven) is really rare because the black paint of the cockpit only has a few scratches on it and I just got all the loose parts for it on eBay a month ago. Reprolabels still doesn't have a set for it yet but when they do, he'll be complete!

My G2 figures:

Megatron
1/2 Orange 1/2 Yellow Devastator
Dreadwind and Smokejumper
Bruticus
Superion

All of them are still proudly displayed on my shelf today. Unfortunately, their fallen comrades Hero Prime and Hero Megatron disappeared into the abyss of my little cousin's house years ago.

Mine would be my G1 Rodimus. I got him from my Aunt's Boyfriend when I was a we young lad. I was told to pick any Transformer and he was it. He is really beat due to the fact that he went on every adventure be it sand, Snow, or Water.

Sideswipe. He's still in near perfect shape, and outlasted all the others. No loose joints or anything, and I played with him A LOT. Second would be Grimlock, he's sort of loose, but still looks good.

I actually still have the first one I ever got, G1 Mixmaster. And he is 100% with all guns and stickers. Looks great.

Not the most impressive figure, but considering what he has gone through, his condition is a miracle.

I have all of G1 in pretty decent condition so honestly I would have to say all of them...
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.

Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Transmetal optimus prime(or primal). It is only missing a little part of his left horn(it chipped). It was the only one I had until I got BM Mirage.

The only TF to survive my childhood is my G2 bumblebee. Aside from a crack under his window, he held up quite nicely.

My G1 Brakedown is probably the best G1 figure I got, Catgut has a broken leg and the Air Defence team is all fairly loose.

Otherwise it would have to be my Turbomaster Flash, he's a couple of years younger than Brakedown, but in excellent condition.

The first Transformer of my own, Scoop, has survived nicely, and I even still have his yellow targetmaster. I remember the blue one, but it got lost in the ages. He tends to lean backward, but looks pretty decent. Still one of my favorite figures.

G1 Tailgate. Technically, it was a hand-me down from my brother, but I'm surprised I still have it. Some of the paint is worn, but I still proudly have it on my shelf, along with his/mine Warpath(broken cannon), and his/mine Seaspray(no propellers, and chew marks on the feet).

Pretender Bumblebee. Still have both guns and the helmet, but one of the Pretneder shells hands broke off, oddly enough. I just used it as a "gun arm" like Mega Man.

Most of my Actionmasters held up.

I have a near complete G2 Devastator. Mixmaster's gun barrel broke off, Hook has an immoble arm(broke, had to glue it back on, repair was impossible), at least one of the drill bits is missing, the figures are VERY well worn, but all the other parts and guns are still there, so that's an accomplishment.

I think that goes up till I was around 8, and I took better care of my stuff after that(Beast Wars), so it's not worth listing.

My g1's all survived in some shape or another and pretty complete. I even have the wheel for my Starscream.

Some are in better shape in others because I was a bit older and treated them a bit nicer. The best condition ones would have to be my 3 Predacons: Razorclaw, Headstrong, and Divebomb all in a complete condition, metal chest, etc...

Just last year I finally completed an all metal version of Predaking including these three originals!!! 8)

ill have to say blaster, hes not my only g1 tf to survive, nor is he realy the best, but hes the most successful

my stepdad started a fire in my room one day, when he got so pissed at super mario3 that he punched a hole in my wall. lost most of my tf that day, and paster had a half melted leg, and a broken windw, and his tape door got so warped it wouldnt shut anymore.

but then, later i found a broken onlegged cracked blaster my extended families garage sale. Blaster became the first ever tf i took apart and restored. i still need to get new stickers for him and his gun, but otherwise, hes been minty since that day~

Hands down, G1 Huffer. My babysitter & I put that thing through hell and back. We were doing drop tests before drop tests were cool. I broke every other mini-bot from the 84-85 line, but Huffer has with stood the test of time and brutal brutal pummelings from hammers, wrenches, and fire crackers.
