ScottyP wrote:^ $150 for the set of four KOs isn't bad if you come across it. The quality on them isn't necessarily bad so much as they just aren't dead-on faithful like some stuff manages to be.
Also, I missed your comment on LP Soundwave earlier. It's one of those oddities that I can't actually recommend to anyone, but if you really want it, you'll enjoy it. The biggest thing that bugged me about it was including "Laserbeak" and "Buzzsaw" but it's literally the same toy twice.
Well, if I ever see them for that price I'll probably bite!ScottyP wrote:^ $150 for the set of four KOs isn't bad if you come across it. The quality on them isn't necessarily bad so much as they just aren't dead-on faithful like some stuff manages to be.

True enouugh. It woulda been a better set with four tapes instead of the five they gave us. Instead of two Rumbles and two Beaks, it shoulda been one of each and a Rattybat.Bumblebee21 wrote:Like the YOTG version

I've heard that the MP tapes are the same size in altmode as the G1 tapes Is that true? I ask because KO MP Ratbats are cheaper than weaponless original-flavor Ratbats.

Yes they are.
For sure. Nice thing about this set, it's totally tampographed. Not. One. Sticker.Bumblebee21 wrote:They look good in any color

Okay, I've never seen Blaster in real-life. So holy cow I have never realized how much bigger he is compared to Soundwave!![]()

Kurona wrote:So now that Titans Return Blaster is out - as well as Rewind and Stripes - what do you guys who have them think of them compared to their original incarnations? And do the G1/Masterpiece/Universe Ravage cassettes fit into TR Blaster well?

Can they be called cassette players now. They hold phones. The mp versions would probably be a bit loose since they are small. You could probably fit 3 or 4 in there
Sure they can! We all know what they're homaging.Bumblebee21 wrote:Can they be called cassette players now.
I'm going to buy them, but I have no official use for them. They're too big for my C/G display and the only ones I think trump previous versions is Eject/Rewind. Which is kinda a shame since I already have the pricey TFCC set.Kurona wrote:So now that Titans Return Blaster is out - as well as Rewind and Stripes - what do you guys who have them think of them compared to their original incarnations? Ravage XK wrote:I think Soundwave and the cassettes are probably the figures that say G1 to me over all the others. There is so much play value there and I can happily transform them back and forth without getting bored.
MP Laserbeak and Ravage are my favourite though. Laserbeak in particular is a fantastic piece of engineering and looks great perched just about anywhere on a TF display.
I also like the Ravage that came with Classic Hound as it was a cool and unnecessary addition even with his oddly shaped spine. I can't remember if he fits in G1 Soundwave or not but I think he is compatible.
I have many a Masterpiece, and I still say Laserbeak is one of the best. Cassette to screen accurate robot WITH integrated weapons. Simply outstanding.Ravage XK wrote:MP Laserbeak and Ravage are my favourite though. That Ravage would have been great if he had shoulder jointsKurona wrote:I also love that he came with Hound; it was a wonderful little extra that gave us one extra CHUG figure
