For some of these, I think you're right, them being BTs/Kiss would rule them out of being MP.
However I think Hot Rod would be a slightly different story. For a start, his Kiss incarnation dosnt really look or transform mutch like his G1 self (although you can say that of others). But more importantly, he's Hot Rod. He is one of the iconic charecters of Generation One. He has one of the most iconic alt modes and robot modes of G1 too. And most importantly, he's very popular. I personally would think that an MP Hot Rod would proove more populare than an MP Rodimus Prime.

A MP Devastator? Yes, please!

Hell, I would just like a damned reissue of him, for crying out loud!

the more simplistic way of looking at it is that there is both a kiss optimus and an mp optimus...sure one was slated to be a different character but it shows they arent above using the name in both lines.

I'm glad to see so many Devastator fans wanting an MP. Usually everytime combiners come up, everyone goes on and on about Predaking.

I love BTK Hot Rod. He's fun and more importantly, hes awesome.

Why reinvent the wheel? Let's get Rodimus Prime out of the MP deal. they could do some amazing things if they incorporated his trailer space into his transformation.

They may keep BT and MP seperate lines, but you never know..it may work out cheaper for takara to merge the lines and have them as one solid line.

I think an MP Rodimus Prime would be a good idea.

I'd only want to see Hot Rodimus if they kept him in scale with the Alts.

then your best bet then is the Kiss Roddy, cause an MP roddy will be bigger than the alt by pretty much double

But I don't like Kiss Rodimus. He has no yellow spoiler. I'm going to go and sulk like a spoilt brat.

Well, just because you don't know how it would work, doesn't mean that Hot Rod would be a better choice.

I completely agree, i mean Hot rod or Hot Rodimus as he is now known is great as a classics toy, Which is one of the few i own, but the Kiss Player Hot Rodimus is freaking Fantastic!!!and really hard to top, I love the Kiss Hot Rodimus and think that he's an excellent rendition fo that character, he's got a freaking fishing pole for heaven's sake!!!

Rodimus Prime would be the best version, that huge trailer would be great to incorporate into his transformation, or may I suggest they do this which I think is iconic and references the G-1 Optimus Prime motif..



I mean a weapons platform would be cool..







Picture this in classics or Kiss players next to the Masterpiece...




And if they do Rodimus prime then they certainly need this..

Well, I think the Predaking fandom is well justified. You can't look in any direction on these boards and NOT find some PRedaking worshipping. I know that that's what your point was leaning towards Swerve, I'm just saying.....

As far as an MP gestalt, MP Predaking is already in existance, becuase no matter how people want to complain about his being heavy due to his die casting or whatever. The metal G1 Predaking more or less is as close to gestalt perfection as we're ever likely to get.

But for a Masterpiece gestalt, I'm not the biggest Devastator fan but he is/was the first, and if any of them got MP'ed, it Should be Devastator. And, I think that would be the best damn MP ever. Either Devastator, or the equally menacing Waspinator.

Predaking is the second most overrated TF (Grimlock being first) in the fandom.

For all his "awesomeness" the fact remains he got his ass handed to him consistently by Sky Lynx, despite the fact that Sky Lynx didn't even have any arms or weapons besides his flame mouth.

His toy, while interesting, is also subpar, with stubby arms on the individual robots, and lack of balance.

Like someone else stated in this thread, seperately, the Constructicons are not icons, but together, as DEVESTATOR, they are an icon of the TF universe/mythos.
