I love the way Omega Prime looks, but unfortunately mine is so loose and floppy, that the best I can usually manage is to combine him and prop him up somewhere that he looks authoritative. Can't really manage any combat poses or anything.

Instead I usually haave Optimus in his power armor, and Magnus in truck mode transporting GI Joes.

Incidentally, you guys should watch Over the Rainbow.

I like how "Jap" is offensive, except for at globally covered events like say, the Olympics, where abreviating Japan as JAP is perfectly exceptible to the entire world.

I do love the Omega. I've been thinking of combining them lately.

I just wish he wasn't so top-heavy and flimsy-waisted. Mine is only capable of looking badass, I'm afraid.

Positives
-He has much more articulation than some of the other bigger primes (Powermaster and Armada Prime to name a few)
-a solid toy
-and anybody who likes or knows about transformers will know he is optimus prime

Negatives
-you had to buy two leader class figures to really get the true worth for the toy
-the flimsy waist
-ALL RID transformers had difficult transformation(to this day I still don't think I have transformed Megatron into all of his 6 modes)

but overall I suggest this figure to anybody who wants to get into the hobby.

Yeah, Omega Prime is kind of hard to pose. Mine still has his waist tight enough to keep some poses. But still bends over quite easily.

As for Ultramagnus, i think the problem in alt arises from the rear flaps. if they are not folded right, the pegs on them move the gray car carrier part just enough so it pops off the front pegs on the cab. But if its folded down right, the pegs line up right, and it stays together really well.

R.I.D Megatron (I have the White repaint Galvatron with 4 extra modes), is really cool in his first 2 or 3 modes. Robot, Plane, Dragon. his boat mode is ridiculous. His elephant mode is a stretch. I do like the claw mode, although its pretty useless. Griffin works barely. I truly dislike his Gargoyle mode. Car mode not really that good but o well. But overall, his is a good figure. I gave him Energon Rodimus's orange Energon Gun as his Arm mounted Particle Cannon and he looks rather spiffy, if i do say so myself.

I have recently become a fan of Omega Prime, but I have also come to respect the UltraMagnus that comnbines with him, i mean this is one of the best realizations of Ultra Magnus I have ever seen..

Now, I have also one thing that i hate about the RID/Car Robots series.. skyshark.. though not bad in bot mode, but a shark that can fly???

the voice actors and dialogue for the show was too pokemon and kiddish, and quite stupid if you ask me, now if they ever redubbed it with peter Cullen as Prime and a good solid voice actor as magnus, it would be a kickass series.. not to mention a more G-1ish megatron voice too would be cool as well..I loved the animation, not 3d by any means, but 3d is also overrated.. there is still something for anime..

Anyways, how about some Magnus Love: I love this figure!!!!

Image

What a fantastic figure, i mean look at the paint applications on his face, the shimmer from the lighting, and the detail in the targeting piece on the gun... absolutely amazing!!!

He's the greatest shark around!

He's the smartest shark in town!

Skybite. That's me...um, him!

Anyway, so what you're saying is that intersteller beings who can rearrange their basic bio-structure, are engaged in a galactic civil-war, and who are 3-5 stories tall but manage to stay hidden in plain sight, that these people can't make a flying shark?

Also, seing as there really doesn't need to be water or air on any planet a Transformer lives on...would they really see a difference in the two? Birds 'swim' in air, fish in water.

The point is...parking is hard to find no matter where you go.

And the award to weirdest thread goes to...

RID - great figures but crappy anime!

Optimus and Magnus are great figures although Magnus does suffer from his short body compared to his long legs.

The combined mode looks great, but can't really stand up to much movement without falling apart.

I got RID Skybite, and he is the definition of floppiness. He just wont stand on his mouth feet no matter what i do. And he doesn't close right in Shark Mode. Ohh and his fins keep falling off, just by looking at them. not a Good figure.

Magnus on the other hand is a pretty cool figure, although his gone is a little unstable, and heavy for his arms. And doesn't really snap into the blue sections with the raund or square pegs as well as it should. however he is a great figure.

I say we turn this into a Skybite bashing thread.

I got that toy a couple days ago in a lot, I was pretty excited about him too. I thought he'd look pretty sweet next to my Universe Depth Charge.

Needless to say, got him out, Bot mode looks like all hell, and he's too lazy to stay up on his fins! Can't even decide whether he wants to swim or fly. GET A JOB SKYBITE!

Omega Prime looks good, but he pisses me off more often than not. People complain about MP Megs, but Omega Prime is by far the single hardest Transformer to transform, ever. Once you can figure out MP Megs, he isn't that bad.

Not only is his transofmation overly complex, it's a pain to get all his parts on, and his parts are always falling off. Not to mention he's topheavy and his legs aren't strong enough to hold him up most of the time. You can't breathe on him or he'll fall over or fall apart. I dunno how kids could even play with him, much less a collector display him. I keep Prime and Magnus seperate, so they can actually stay in one peice.

And you know, while the toy does look really cool, and it's a neat feature, the whole thing with Prime having to merge with other people kind of diminishes his character and badassery.

ok, i do have a question, there is a chance I can get an omega prime fire convoy giant sword version, that was a Toys R Us exclusive from Japan, only he's about 300.00.. I also have the chance to get the Japanese releases of God Magnus and Fire Convoy seperately for around 55.00 plus shipping with a grand total of 130.00...now i am coming into some money, but I'd rather not spend that much on him, and having not owned Omega Prime or any other RID figures, I was wondering which is the better buy?? Do I go for the exclusive, or the individual ones who can still combine..?? i mean I feel like with the TRU exclusive, I'm paying 170.00 extra for exclusive pacakging and a freaking toy sword... whats the concensus with you guys, what is my best option in this case..??Is there another release that I could order that would be comparable??

Honestly Skywarp if your going to open him up there is no real point in getting the overly expensive set. I think you should be able to get both takara versions from ebay for even less that 130.00 from ebay

here is prime http://cgi.ebay.com/CAR-ROBOTS-RID-OPTI ... dZViewItem

here is magnus
http://cgi.ebay.com/TAKARA-GOD-LOT-ULTR ... dZViewItem

I can personally vouch for the seller on magnus he is a very dependable seller. I am not sure about the other person but their feedback is decent.
But there are both takara versions for under 100.00 shipped. You could probably use the money left over to get Rail Racer who is a toss up between Landfill as being my personal favorite combiners EVER.
