Oh gawd. I thought after seeing this incredible interpretation of Transformers on film, the random "it sucks! it's crap!" comments would end. How wrong was I.

When did everyone suddenly start hating Hot Rod?

Rodimus Prime is my favorite character. I would like to see Hot Rod, but I don't want to see Rodimus Prime. They made a HUGE mistake killing off Optimus Prime. But don't knock Hot Rod just because you love Optimus.

Hot Rod should be a Japanese Street Racer, like the ones in "Fast and the Furious".

Should just be a reckless but good fighter with crazy luck.

What part did you like the most?
Was it the pretty explosions?
The overused Matrix slo-mo?
Those wacky, wacky humans doing their wacky, wacky things?

Etc, etc... I'm afraid... the wounds are fatal.

The only problem I had with the movie was too many humans, not enough Transformers. Otherwise, great movie.

Wow. Then you should quit watching 90% of today's movies. Every single director in Hollywood is given the license to direct crap.

Some do their best not to, others embrace it, and those who find a healthy balance of both tend to do the best in the business because they can cover a broad ranging audience.

Bay's one of them fellers that's smack dab in the middle.

You don't have to like the movie, but since your point's been made at least 3 times over (by posting) I'd say you've covered your end of it, and we know how you feel.

I think once we hit August, all the pros, cons, and review threads should be locked. This is just going to get us nowhere and a lot of bad blood spilled. (so to speak)

Hot Rod gets prime killed by being a reckless idiot. He never should've been leader IMO. I thought Springer would've been a better choice - more level headed.

Forget Springer, Magnus deserves it more, he was just cut down in his prime. As for the Hotrod hating, I personally don't hate Hotrod, but I hate Rodimus Prime.

yes, let's put the lock on free thought, so people can stop asking questions that they want answered so maybe a little peace could be resolved and (with those questions answered and the like) they might enjoy the movie a little more, or maybe the questions might make you question yourself for actually liking it so much.
whew.
get over it. you can't just ask threads to be locked so people can't have debate on a subject that the entire goddamn website's dedicated to.
matter of fact, this website is open for debate on all topics transformers and then some, but since the movie, some people on here think this is designed for only the movie itself. people dislike things about g1, armada, energon, cybertron, fookin' swtf's... and some people don't like them altogether. doesn't stop threads about whether armada starscream used a blaster or a sword in episode 34.
btw, i hate the thought of blocking free speech. pisses me off.

The reason the guy was wearing the s7 superman undershirt and his actions represent the ultimate "company man" I didnt see anything wrong with it because I've seen people that are like that in "corporate" world. The other guy that went to the sect. of defense was a more appropriate representation of s7 and how no one knows about them until they want to be known about.

I think that for me personally the fact that I dont know all of the ins and outs of tformers for the last 23 years helped to make this more enjoyable for me. I watched alot of g1 almost all of beast wars and what I could of beast machines. None of the other series. I learned little things about characters from this website but I never let myself get so deep that I can see the sun from where I'm at. It helps with the objectivity of things. And thats where I see some fans get lost, not all mind you but a few. They get a little too subjective regarding certain things this movie portrayed and then use that to fuel the reasons for not likeing certain aspects. Bay's directing style being the biggest detterant to some people while others love what he did and want him to do more. Then we end up with threads like those that were deleted last week and pointless threads that people just bicker back and forth about. Do we need 5 different threads of why did the allspark shrink, or wheres barricade, and polls for characters in the sequal? In the end some of the things that people are bickering about is going to split this community in half more than the first concept drawing of Megatron ever did. ;)^

For me it was waaaaaay too many people. I loved the actual Transformers and the movie when they were on screen, but the overstock of people/humans and their non stop attempt at overdone humor, at times crude, that's really what left me kinda in the middle with the movie. Don't plan on giving the movie a full watch again.

Hey, let's make it EXACTLY like G1! What would be the differences?

Even less substance and even less flash. Or should I talk about plotholes and how that the Constructicons had their origins told 3 different ways through only two seasons?

Oh yeah, MUCH better.

I always have the hope, besides if their annoucement of 5 Transformers movies is right, we all have the chance to hope that they make us all happy. I haven't see the movie yet, in Luxembourg he isn't out yet, even that he got some parts I don't like in the movie, too the most horible is the scene when optimus Prime shows himself with lips, but in the end we never could do omething about it and when you look the Cybertron serie Optimus had already a mouth, there, what I thought was already horrible, but I learn on thing at the long chronicles of Transformers that we must give a chance for new ideas. And I think the TF community grows with this movie. 8)

1. The humans actually fight back, instead of hide under a rock or something.

2. Transformers that ACTUALLY KILL PEOPLE! OMFG CRUDE VIOLENCE!

3. Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime.

4. The action.

5. The fact that it DIDN'T SUCK. I came in thinking it was going to bomb, but as a TF fan, but, IMO, this is BY FAR the best scif-fi/action movie of the summer. It's the one to beat.

6. Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime.

7. The fact that Shia potrayed a Sam instead of Spike. I think it just suited him better.

8. DECEPTICON COP CAR!!! TO PUNISH & ENSLAVE!

9. And Xbox 360 TF? WTF?!

You are wise beyond your years.

Dear God, that movie was awesome!! (except for screening number six, where I swear the woman next to me was on drugs or something... hey, dont' worry about yelling at your bratty kid or leaving to have a few fags and come back to pollute my lungs, certainly don't mind the rest of us as you jump up and down screaming at the screen... it's not like anyone else PAID to see it....)
Something memorable here.

The only complaint I have with the movie is that besides from Barricade, Optimus, BB, and Frenzy, I really could have cared less who died.

The only reason for anyone to like any of the transformers is for aesthetic. I mean, Bonecrusher really got short changed. He was in the movie for like two minutes before Prime gutted him.

Overall, the TFs just needed more lines and more interaction with one another before they got killed off.

1.) I never said to block free speech.
2.) Don't you ever, do you hear me, DON'T YOU EVER PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH!
3.) YOU SHUT THE F*CK UP!

I think the threads should be closed for peace, not because someone might sway my decision. (I'm not a lemming like you are, apparently.)

Do you really want to come on here everyday and see another thread of "Why I Hate" or "Why I Love" or "You Suck Because" threads. They're getting ridiculous and taking up too much time on here.

I miss the old days when we just had information and discussion threads...all of these spiral down into a flame fest. (Just as you started now. Yeah, you.)

People like you bitch about free speech, then put words in other people's mouths. You make me want to vomit and you disgust me.

Autobot302,

You need to take a step back and chill out man. Is it really worth it to get this heated over a movie? In a sense what you did say was to make it so no one can express an opinion one way or another regarding the movie. That is the essence of a "discussion board".

I dont mind all of the changes to the transformers. They said the faces were designed to show more emotion, it worked. The one thing that pissed me off was Jazz's death. I'm not mad that he dies ,but rather how he dies. To envoke all this emotion in the new desings and then a quick rather emotionless death. It would been better if the showed jazz in more pain, and deep suffering. Mabey have had megatron pull slower.
