Whoa, mama! M.A.S.K. got a reference! In this show, they're a division of the U.S. military who built an experimental vehicle that Optimus is scanning for his new altmode.
HOLY COW NEW OPENING SEQUENCE MADE OF AAAAAAAAAAWSOOOOOOOOOME!!!!!!!!
Hey cool, a new GroundBridge. And other tech that looks either salvaged from the old base or given by the government.
And looks like Magnus got Prime's old altmode after all.
The Lobbing ball!

Looks like the hangar the Bots are based in is connected to an office Fowler works in.
Oh ho! So Magnus was the Wreckers commander back on Cybertron, but only to keep them in check and apparently didn't like the job.
Have I mentioned how much I love seeing an airborne Optimus?
And his new altmode is made of pure unrivaled awesome.
DUUUUUUUUUUDE, radical new duds, Smokey!
Oh, character point: Smoke secretly regrets not taking the Prime title because he's still treated like a rookie.
Miko mentions Dinobots! Bulkhead's answer to what they were: "Totally different."
Bulkhead's comment about having "beast wars" on their hands refers to the likelihood of Shockwave cloning a Pred army. And Optimus encourages his team to become "Beast Hunters" in response to that reality.
I don't like the explanation of Shockwave having cloned other Preds previously during the war, which Megatron ordered to be sent to Earth back then, since Earth seemed to be relatively unknown to Cybertron at the time that the war was going on, only coming to the awareness of a select few Cybertronians only after the war was over as the Great Exodus was underway.
Though Starscream mocks the idea of another scavenger hunt in this show (as I'm sure many a fan are doing as well), Shockwave promptly speaks up noting that the Preds he sent to Earth back then were microchipped.
Jack notes that the Predacons look like the creatures of Greek and Medieval mythology, to which Optimus suggests that the Preds helped influence the various folklores of humanity.
Synthetic energon is back. Ratchet's working on it again.
Magnus doesn't understand Fowler's sense of humor. He's also leading the Wreckers on this expedition.
And he's taking the Forge to wield in battle.
A little heart to heart between Bee and Smoke. We learn that Bee's dream is to be a Warrior, and that he personally has chosen to postpone any rank advancement from Scout until after they get to go back to Cybertron for good, as it would have more meaning to graduate on their homeworld. He's a patient bot, and Smoke finds that admirable.
Even though Shockwave's toy tank mode is pretty weak, the show still makes it into a beast.
Hi Soundwave! Come to help Shockwave, I see.
Optimus has had enough... but Laserbeak has other plans!
Phase Shifter!
The bone broke in at least three pieces. One for Bee, one for Smoke, and one for...
Megatron. Boo yah!
Megatron finds Shockwave too valuable to go back into the field, and Shockwave chooses to confine himself to his lab to complete Project Predacon while leaving the fetching the bones to Starscream.
This was a cleverly fun episode. So many cool bits and pieces despite most of it being exposition and all action happening mostly nearer to the end. And looks like this will be another case like episodes 38-41 in season 2, with the battles of this episode and the next taking place simultaneously with each other. And we got an explanation for why Magnus dislikes the Wreckers despite other sources having said that he was their leader on Cybertron. Kudos.
Next week, Predaking's back. And he's fighting the Wreckers.
