Weapon: Sub-Machine Gun
A great ending for the entire series.

What I liked:

- I think they handled Bee very well, I thought the voice would be goofy, but it wasn't, it was Bee as we knew him back in G1 and even War for Cybertron. Bee killing Megatron was a surprise and I was delighted. Not at Megatron's death, but at how it wasn't Optimus that killed him. It shows the Megatron's doings affected the entire team, and not just Optimus. Bee feels like he filled a void that was just always there. Smokescreen would have filled it, but they kept shying away, I can see why, because they wanted Bee to be a more prominent role than just a mute R2D2. My guess is for TF4, Bee will talk and his persona will be mirrored from this episode.
- Optimus's inadequate fight was perfect. He threw some good punches, but he lost the fight, which made it feel real for me. His reaction to Bee's death is also consistent with FOC.
- Knockout joining the Autobots
- Finally, Cybertron is back, :)

What I didn't like:
- Arcee's moment with Jack was well played out, but it felt a bit rushed. She was technically the first Autobot/human interaction we saw in the beginning, and it would have been nice if we saw a bit of closure. Even having a nod to Cliff jumper and all those who sacrificed their lives. To be honest I was hoping to see the scene with the Autobots and humans pack a little bit more emotion, although Miko's whimpers were great, but the scene moved too fast. Do Transformers cry? I think they do, well Bee was in tears in ROTF, so maybe we should have seen something like that from one of them at least. To show that they reciprocated that connection. I guess brightly lit eyes means they did, who knows.

- Soundwave in the shadow zone is just lame. Everyone knows he's superior and he'll be coming back. I'm glad he's not dead.

- Optimus didn't send a message to any other Autobots? or even say that they won. "Come on back everyone. Cybertron is open for business".

- We needed a little bit of closure. Primus should have said something, to complete the dialogue that he had back in WFC

- I didn't like Predaking, just annoyed me that he got a stupid scene.

Anyways that's my 2 cents at the moment, overall I loved this series and enjoyed it all the way. It's a true successor to G1. And waaaaaay better than any Bayformers. All the voice overs, characterizations, and designs were great. Thanks Hasbro :)
I guess the TFP movie will be cool too. I would like this new series everyone's talking about to not be a reboot. We always keep getting reboots. Keep it in the aligned continuity ,it seems to be the best balance.

There's still tons of territory to cover in this continuity. There's literally thousands of years-worth of story to explore that takes place before this show's present day. A prequel series, showing how they got to Earth and their earliest Earth-bound battles, could be doable.

Is he not allowed to grow up and mature into a rational thinker who tries instead to succeed Megatron as his heir instead of his usurper? Must he always remain stagnant and stuck in a rut of delusions of grandeur? This is a Starscream who has learned from his trials and tribulations, having overcome his childish delusions and evolved into a three-dimensional, complex, and deep character who's come to realize that Megatron is his best ticket to success.

He's pro-Decepticon. He wanted all of the Autobots and humanity to die, and Megatron to win. That's why he didn't like it.

It was. Season three was originally supposed to be a few episodes longer, but for whatever combination of reasons it was cut back to 13.
No it wasn't. The idea of season 3 being 15 or 16 episodes long was due to a miscommunication/misunderstanding. 65 episodes was always the intended longterm goal from the get-go.

Nice, but frankly man WE DON'T CARE. As much as you brag about having been with the brand since 1984, we honestly couldn't care less.

90%, eh? You don't watch many cartoons these day, do you? :P

Rodimus2006 wrote:Also based on my research & what I have uncovered points to it being a Complete reboot rather than a successor to Prime that is why Prime is getting that movie coming this Fall.
No, Prime is getting its movie because the makers wanted to do more with it. There is no word on what the next cartoon will be, but the Aligned Continuity (which TF: Prime is a part of) is far from finished and has plenty of room for further exploration and expansion.

Rodimus2006 wrote:Also I dont know if this is true or not true during my research I uncovered voice actors who will be in ONE and the Transformers they will be voicing. To me this seemed to good to be true as the original Generation 1 didnt have SLIPSTREAM.
Any voice actor news at this point is false.

Also, what does G1 not having Slipstream matter?

Saber I also dont care what you think or what you say, but I did enjoy the finale. Also What does Mass Effect 3 have to do with Prime when Prime has a 10x better ending + will conclude 100% with the Predacon Rising movie.

Also there have been a million games with worser endings other than Mass Effect hello heard of KoTor 2 Fade to Black The End WTF is that crap 20+ hours that is my ending.

The question regarding the upcoming movie is when will it take place will it be a few years after Prime's season 3 ending, will it be a few months after Prime, Will Jack, Miko, and Raf be older being Agents only time will tell.

The only thing I do know is that Megatron is possesed by Unicron, Unicron somehow escaped his Stasis Prison.

Also Saber for your info I have been watcing Anime, Cartoons, since the 70's since the Amuro Ray Gundam Era so yeah I have watched Anime, probably longer than YOU HAVE.

But I did enjoy BB he really shined it was odd that Bee had no issues with the Sword, also wierd he suffered little Damage. The coolest Line ever from Bee also a nice Punch Line and was nicely Timed kutos to the Writers of Prime.

Curious to see where Shockwave & Sceam will go from here I assume Shockwave will have a Hidden Lab somewhere on Earth.

PredaKing Returing or will they be survivors of Predacons on Earth in the upcoming Movie.

Cant Wait until now I kill time watching my Prime DVDs and getting Season 3 this Fall/Winter.

Pretty good episode. Definitely rushed, but I enjoyed it!

Smokescreen does his "I'm better than you! Nyah!" thing and gets usurped by Bumblebee. Awesome. But honestly - it was good thinking on Smokescreen's part (something I'm not keen to admit  ) and great opportunity on Bumblebee's.

Optimus' two displays of emotion are fantastic in this episode. Anger at Megatron, an being the last to look over the Earthbound cast shows a great deal of sympathy and caring for the people he has to leave behind. It makes his earlier speech about family to (I believe) Magnus hit home a little more.

...Though I did half expect OP to shoot Megatron in the head a la Golgo 13 as Megs fell to Unicron's dead carcass we live on Earth. Ah, well.

Was hoping for a OP/Smokescreen/Arcee/Jack farewell, and a Wheeljack/Bulkhead/Miko farewell. Would have laughed my ass off at a June/OP farewell since she "wore heels and everything" at one point. The goodbyes felt a little rushed, but we'll see what happens in the upcoming DTV movie. Ratchet staying behind is an odd choice since he's half responsible for Cybertron's renewal and would ideally be needed to monitor things.

The highlight was definitely Starscream's feelings of loss towards Megatron. He realizes he needs to work with the Decepticons to accomplish... well, anything; and Megatron is the force which holds the cons together. Really shows his growth over the three seasons.

Nice episode. Could have used more, but still nice all the same. I hope the next project can carry this level of characterization across its series, but I won't hold my breath.

Edit: Oh Geez - forgot the kids! Excellent use of them and knowledge they possess due to being possibly scarred for life with ZomQuake. Best way to take out an opponent who's smart and can fight is to trap them.

Only really unexpected major point of the episode, but DAMN was that cool. New respect for Prime's Bee. I mean, I'm not big on any Bee that can't talk, but even so I was starting to enjoy this one, not more than anyone else in the series, but he was still not bad. Then he got his voice back, and ramped up his badass level by about two-thousand percent (estimated) by straight-up killing the nigh-indestructible leader of the opposition. No dramatic final charge, no blazing cannons, no long-winded speeches (or speeches of any kind, til the sword was already in him) just yells out his name, and sticks him.

A bit like this:

Anyone else suddenly interested in buying the Bumblebee repaint in Beast Hunters Wave 5? Because I was totally planning on skipping it before this episode but now I want to recreate Bumblebee's attack on Megatron.

This was a strong series finale. Starscream and Shockwave escaped, Soundwave is trapped in the Shadowzone but still alive, and Knock Out is apparently captured. Some of the Elite Steves were still alive at the end of the battle, but my guess is the Decepticon forces have broken to barely anything.

My only real complaint is the inconsistency with the Star Saber. Both Bee and Smokescreen had trouble lifting it, but then Bee could use it on Megatron? Maybe I'll just write that off as BURNING JUSTICE, or more likely, a surge of energy from the Omega Lock. Very glad Bumblebee's character gained some closure, both gaining revenge on Megatron, and fulfilling the earlier foreshadowing of becoming a Prime (you know, eventually).

Starscream's character needs a tiny bit of elaboration, I think, in the followup movie. Whether he is legitimately grieving for Megatron or just putting on a show for the other Decepticons. I anticipate a power struggle between him and Shockwave for leadership, which should be awesome.

Predaking... well, that's a pretty huge loose end, but I figure it'll get sorted out in the movie.

I'll save declaring this the best show ever until after the epilogue, but for now... I'll say, if it weren't for the nostalgia factor, I'd probably be ready to say it dethrones Beast Wars. But we don't know for sure just yet.

To be honest, I was expecting something more epic, nobody expect Megatron die, battle was to short and Starscream and Arcee fight was as epic, as it supposed to. However, this is probably first good Megatron's Death scene in entire franchise.

It was really nice to heard BBB in this episode, but I'm not quite sure is hes voice is'nt to "generic".

Despite this i really like this episode and I think that I can safely say that Transformers Prime is the best series since Beast Wars. It was good looking, dark and serious, in many way original, yet not too original, and very fun to watching. I can't wait to see Preadcon Risig, to see how conclude would looks like.

Also, one thing about Megatron, he's death seems to be... cheap. Since he's body is in good shape, I really don't mind to see Galvatron in Predacon Rising.

You know, this is the first "Autobots say goodbye to their human allies as they all leave Earth" ending we've had since RiD. Well, okay, there was that one scene in Armada's finale, but that was less of a goodbye from the Bots leaving Earth and more of a goodbye from the kids returning to Earth, and only to a couple of the Autobots dropping them off. Not to mention that they just went on to establish greater relations with Earth, anyway.

I think the only TF cartoon series to ever have this kind of an ending were The Headmasters, Masterforce, RiD, and Prime.

Didn't Cybertron have a final good bye as well?

Bumblebee was so EPIC in this episode!!! When Bumblebee spoke that line to Megatron, I literally received goosebumps. So awesome!!!

Knock Out - will the Autobots let him in with the "everyone is subject to change" philosophy, or are they going to keep him prisoner.

Megatron's death is quite ironic. One of the worst Megatrons had one of the best Megatron Deaths.

By episode's end, I think Bumblebee and Ratchet were very well developed through the series' lifetime. Now, let's see if they can tie up some loose ends in Predacons Rising.

The fate of Soundwave was quite clever as well.

Definitely an enjoyable finale.

Yes, TFP Megatron was the best Megatron. Look how he could keep his ranks in check, see plans through, and control his temper.

Seriously. This Megatron was even more of a joke than G1 Megatron. Worst leader ever.

Very good conclusion to prime, hope the movie is successful enough to warrant more instalments. I still rate beast wars higher cos I found the humour and writing above par. If I had to take into account the toys and visuals then of course prime is perhaps the best the franchise has offered thus far.

Perhaps the only thing I thought was missing from prime was some beast love on the autobot side. With the predacons and insecticons on the decepticon's side, the dinobots would've almost made sense.

I'd love to see an origins story, explaining how cybertron etc came to be and a prequel to prime ( in spite of the video games ), otherwise, stories about individual's exploits etc kinda like the spotlight comics would be interesting. Well basically anything that's related to prime would be preferable to the bayverse at this point.
My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid

I posted on another thread...

The only disappointing thing about TF Prime, is the fact that it had to come to an end. :-(

Epic series. It was just as good if not better than G1 IMO and I will really miss it.

Any particular reason? It was a pretty solid ending, wrapped up stuff that needed wrapped up, and revived Cybertron, which was the goal from about the middle of season two to the end. We even got Bee's personal arc with Megatron wrapped up, which I wasn't expecting, and am happy how they did it.

Aww, you think he'll stay dead. That's cute. Surely I don't need to explain that we're talking about Megatron, do I? ;)

Megatron should be staying dead (for Prime at least). For Predacons Rising, Unicron will be taking over his lifeless body. ;)

That was completely awesome! TF Prime was great all the way through and a good way to end the first 30 yrs of Transformers. I still remember coming home from the dentist at 7yrs old and getting my first TF toy: Soundwave. It had to end just when I was getting use to Spike, Chip and Carly....I mean Jack, Raf and Miko hehe. Great show and I can't wait for the predacon movie. Megatron's best death ever and BB's best shot ever. I do hope Knock-Out is in the next show whatever it is and with the autobots it should be fun.

Not quite. That show ended with relations between Earth and Cybertron (and all the other planets in the Space Bridge Network) becoming greater than ever, with humans coming to Cybertron and such. In this show (and the three other examples), the Autobots all go back to Cybertron after saying goodbye to their human friends, leaving behind Earth and humanity itself.

he couldn't keep his ranks in check? were we watching the same show? soundwave was loyal to him.. shockwave was loyal to him, breakdown was loyal to him.. knock out feared him, which made him loyal. the only one that wasn't " in check" was starscream.. but not even that lasted the entire series.

his temper? isn't that what makes megatron, megatron? plus, his temper was in check most of the time. he wasn't flipping out and getting goofy or anything.. he was more subdued and evil than G1.. so i don't see how he could be more of a "joke"

plus, this megatron lead the decepticons to more victories than i can remember.

anyways...

one thing i didn't understand was how soundwave could be stuck in the shadowzone.. couldn't he just create a space bridge out of there? .. i don't believe it took some magical groundbridge to retrieve the kids.. oh well.. i guess we'll find out during the movie. . which i'm sad to say is too far in the distance. i'd rather the movie be next week.

also.. there's one more thing that infuriates me.. we've gotten a whole bunch of beast transformer toys.. yet only one so far in the show, and i read that only two will have rolls in the movie. . yet, breakdown who was in a bunch of episodes, and the jet vehicon who was in the entire series didn't see a release in the US (aside from cyberverse) but it makes absolutely no sense to me. it's really frustrating.

same thing happened with deluxe soundwave and que, and human alliance soundwave in dotm.. it happened with voyager blackout and thundercracker in animated. i don't get it. these are american shows/movies.. yet japan gets every mold, and we don't.
