anyone here not get these buggers? anyone pick one up on the offchance and then find themself wanting all the others? or are you some kind of oddbal who just got one and found that they didn't want more?

for me, both the testshots/prerelease i own are real grears, and thanks to the trip to asda today, i only need high score now, and maybe the repaints, but when i have high score, i may have sated my urges forreal gears.

I just got the cell Phone Autobot, though I'd prefer the con. I only wanted that one so that's all I got.

Bought spyshot 6... That bugger's got very weak knee joints.

Dunno why the axle is so close to the plastic edge.. it will not last many transformations.

I've been looking for High Score,
but it seems the only guy I can find in local stores is that decepticon video game guy,

and they have TONS of him.

some real gears have really poor paint jobs, especially on the head area.... aside from that, these are pretty cool.... good alts modes, simple transformation, and pretty cool robot mode too. theyre simple yet complex.

I got Booster X10 (Laserbeak) because it was free when I spent $25 at TRU. Don't have any intentions of buying any more real gear or TECH.

Got 'em all from the two packs at Wally World. No repaints tho.

I hadn't noticed that. My Spyshot seems to be holding up well, there's no signs of any stress on these joint, and I've been rough-housing him quite a bit more than usual. The plastic's tough.

Real Gears seem to have found a good balance. They're child-friendly and solid, decent in both bot and alt mode, fun transformations.

I bought SpyShot to be my "ClassicVerse" Reflector. He fits well, now that I removed the autobot logo. 8)

I've got High Score, though I think I got a defective one... The two pieces that drape over his shoulders absolutely WON'T stay on. At all... The first time I tried to transform him they fell right off.

I have every single one of the little buggers, and I loves them all!

Speed Dial and High Score have two of the easiest transformations ever, but are easily two of the best figures released in 2007.

Both are only beaten by Meantime, who could only be better if he had an actual LCD working watchface.

Seriously these guys are all worth a purchase, being only basics they cost very little and take up next to no shelf space.

That guy never looked like an autobot in the first place. With those glowing red eyes, he's entirely too evil looking.

I think they're cool but I'll take my chances and buy them at clearance (real clearance, not Wal-mart's 50 cents off).

I picked up Longview and Laserbeak (I refuse to call him BoosterX10) about a month back I guess. Was hurting real bad for some TFs and those were the only things that even remotely intrested me. Love them to death, but think I'll pass on the rest of the Real Gears. Real Techs don't even warrant look from me.

Yeah, I've got five or so Real Gears, after seeing the huge LOLgear thread at TFW2005, and I must say, they are some ace TFs. Spyshot was my easy favorite, until I went and purchased High Score and Meantime on Friday.

Love High Score's robot mode; he just looks like the tough guy with the elite fight skills that're described in his bio.

Meantime easily surpasses some of the Deluxe toys and even some of the Voyagers as a great toy; robot mode is one of the best I've seen, and he's actually almost as tall as some of the Deluxes. Next to Classics Mirage, he's probably the most playable, poseable toy I have. If anything, this is the one Real Gear everyone must have.

EDIT: And I forgot to mention that the light piping in this line is the best you'll see in the whole Movie line so far. Just superb.
